Give Your Children a Gift Time Cannot Destroy: Why Parents Are Turning to Fruit Tree Plantations
Every parent wants to give their children something solid, something that will stand by them long after school, long after you’ve retired, and long after the noise of today’s economy has faded.
But let’s be honest…
Saving money for children is getting harder. School fees rise yearly. Inflation swallows cash. Jobs are more competitive. And even real estate is becoming too expensive for many families starting out.
That’s why more Nigerian parents are now choosing an investment that is simple, affordable, and future-proof:
Fruit tree plantations.
Not stocks. Not crypto. Not high-risk ventures.
Just trees; quiet, dependable, income-producing trees.
Because when you plant a fruit tree today in your child’s name, you’re planting a lifetime asset.
Why Fruit Tree Plantations Are Becoming the New “Children’s Savings Account”
1. They produce income every single year
Coconut trees can produce for 30 to 100 years. That means the investment you make for your child at age 2 could still be paying them when they are 40.
No bank savings can do that. No scholarship fund lasts that long. No job is guaranteed that long.
But coconut trees? They don’t get tired.
2. You don’t wait 20 years to see results
In a well-designed coconut plantation system, early yielding crops like pawpaw are planted in between the coconut trees. They begin fruiting from Year 1, giving quick cashflow long before the coconut matures.
So your child benefits:
⬝ Immediately (Year 1–3 from pawpaw)
⬝ And for decades (from coconuts)
This is what real generational planning and wealth building looks like.
3. You’re giving them land + lifelong income
Children inherit two problems today:
⬝ A world that’s more expensive
⬝ A future that’s more uncertain
But when you give a child productive plantation, you’re giving them:
⬝ A permanent landed asset
⬝ A yearly income-producing engine
⬝ A hedge against inflation
⬝ A financial safety net for life
This is one of the most meaningful gifts a parent can give.
4. It prepares them for adulthood long before adulthood arrives
Imagine your child at:
⬝ 10, earning consistent passive revenue
⬝ 18, using proceeds for university
⬝ 25, funding their business
⬝ 30, paying rent with coconut harvest income
⬝ 40–50, still benefiting from trees you planted decades earlier
That’s not an investment. That’s legacy.
5. It is stress-free for you
⬝ No tenant issues.
⬝ No repairs.
⬝ No complex management.
Modern plantations use:
⬝ Irrigation systems
⬝ Improved coconut seedling varieties
⬝ Professional management teams
You’re not farming. You’re owning an income-producing asset.
If you believe your children deserve a future that isn’t controlled by inflation, job markets, or unpredictable economies…
If you want to give them something that will outlive you…
If you want an investment that grows quietly as your children grow…
Then fruit trees plantation is one of the most heartfelt and wise decisions you can make today.

Fruit Plantation vs. Rental Property in Abuja: Which Investment Makes More Sense Today?
For many investors, the default path has always been real estate. Buy land. Build houses. Collect rent. It’s familiar, tangible, and socially celebrated.
But a quiet shift is happening.
More Nigerians, especially smart, long-term investors, are now adding managed fruit tree plantations to their portfolios. And the numbers coming from well-structured projects are beginning to compete directly with traditional real estate returns.
If you’re torn between investing in a rental building or a productive fruit plantation, here is a clear, balanced comparison that may help you decide.
1. Cost of Entry
Rental Building
Land in Abuja: from ₦15M–₦50M per plot (depending on district)
Construction (4–6 units): ₦70M–₦200M+
Finishing, documentation, supervision, and miscellaneous costs add even more.
Total first investment: Often ₦100M–₦250M+
Fruit Tree Plantation
In a modern managed estate such as the FruitTreesNg integrated coconut + pawpaw plantation in Kwali:
Plot (500sqm): ₦900,000
Acre: ₦6,000,000
Hectare: ₦14,000,000
This costs covers Land + documentation, Plantation setup, Irrigation system and First-year professional management.
Total first investment: ₦900K–₦14M, depending on unit size.
✔️ Winner: Fruit Trees Plantation (more affordable)
2. Return on Investment
Rental Property in Abuja
Average rental yield: 4%–7% annually
Payback period: 15–22 years
ROI is stable but moderate.
Fruit Tree Plantation
Based on the projections from the Kwali coconut estate:
Pawpaw income starts from Year 1
Coconut begins in Year 3, matures from Year 4
Expected annual coconut revenue increases 10–20% annually as trees grow
Example ROI (per hectare):
Year 1: ₦8M
Year 2: ₦8M+
Year 3: ₦17M
Year 4: ₦18M
Year 5+: ₦19.8M+ with annual growth
Average ROI: 50%–80% annually
Payback period: 2–3 years
✔️ Winner: Fruit Trees Plantation (higher & faster cash flow)
3. Asset Lifespan
Rental Building
• Buildings deteriorate over time.
• Major renovation required after 25–30 years.
Fruit Plantation
Most fruit trees produce consistently for 30–100 years with little maintenance.
Trees get more productive as they age.
✔️ Winner: Fruit Plantation
4. Stress & Management
Rental Property
•Maintenance calls
•Tenant issues
•Vacancies
•Repairs & renovations
•Property management fees
Fruit Tree Plantation
In our Kwali project:
•Full setup + 12 months management included
•After Year 1, you can take over yourself or allow continuous professional management for 30% revenue share
•No tenants. No repairs. No monthly headaches.
✔️ Winner: Fruit Plantation
5. Risk Comparison
Rental Property
•Market downturns
•Unpaid rent
•Structural wear
•Demolition risks in uncertified areas
•High maintenance costs
Fruit Tree Plantation
•Agricultural risks (weather, pests)
But with modern systems:
✓Drip irrigation
✓Improved seedlings varieties
✓Intercropping
✓Expert farm managers
…the major risks are significantly reduced.
✔️ Winner: Tie (each has manageable risks)
6. Land Value Appreciation
Both assets benefit from rising land value in Abuja.
But an agricultural estate gives you:
•Land appreciation plus
•Significant income from the trees
✔️ Winner: Tie
Final Thoughts
Both investments are excellent but they serve different purposes.
Rental Property gives urban income + long-term capital appreciation + tangible structures and tenants
Fruit Plantations gives:
•Affordable entry
•Fast, strong yearly cashflow
•Decades of passive income
•Hands-free management
•A hedge against inflation
•Land ownership

True Inheritance Isn’t Just Cash. It’s Assets That Keep Working & Paying for Generations
When we think of inheritance, most people imagine:
💵 Cash in a bank account
🚗 A car or two
🏠 A house in the city
But here’s the hard truth:
❌ Cash loses value over time
❌ Cars depreciate the moment they leave the showroom
❌ Houses often turn into liabilities when repairs pile up
Now picture something different…
Imagine leaving behind an orchard land filled with fruit trees that feed, earn, and grow stronger with time.
An orchard doesn’t just sit there. It works for you.
🍊 Produces food
🥭 Generates steady income every harvest, for decades
🍇 Creates sustainable wealth that your children and their children can inherit, expand, and pass on
This is what we at FruitTreesNg build: a living inheritance. 🌱
Our 5-in-1 Hybrid Orchard Model combines fast-yielding crops like pawpaw with long-lifespan trees like mango and orange. Each hectare is designed for:
✅ Multiple income streams (₦15M – ₦26M yearly potential per hectare from Year 3)
✅ Diversified risk (one poor harvest won’t ruin your year)
✅ Long-term wealth that lasts decades
And here’s the best part: you don’t need to be a farmer.
We provide a turnkey setup in our secured Plantation Estate in Kaduna State that includes:
📍 Land + documentation
🌱 Hybrid seedlings & professional planting
💧 Drip irrigation system
🌿 Moringa fencing
👨🏽🌾 Full first-year management (weed control, pest & disease care, pruning, irrigation, security)
All at ₦12.5M per hectare.
After Year 1, you can either:
✔️ Take over full management OR
✔️ Retain us to manage it for you in exchange for a 20% revenue share (no extra costs on you).
👉 And if a full hectare (₦12.5M) is above your budget, don’t worry:
🌱 You can start with 1 acre for ₦5M
🌱 Or even a plot for ₦700K
The legacy you build doesn’t depend on size, it depends on starting.
👨👩👧👦 Money runs out. Orchards don’t.
If you want to give your children something truly lasting, don’t just leave them cash. Leave them a fruit orchard, an inheritance that keeps producing, long after you’re gone.

🧵 Why Orchards Are the Best Long-Term Agri-Investment
Not all farming is created equal.
Some crops make you money this year… and vanish the next.
Orchards? They keep paying you for decades.
Here’s why. 🌳
🧵 Why Fruit Tree Plantations Are the Ultimate Retirement Plan
Retirement isn’t about age.
It’s about freedom. Freedom from stress, from bills, from depending on others.
Want to retire with peace of mind and steady income?
Start planting fruit trees today. Here's why 👇🏾
🧵 Farming vs. Building a Scalable Agro Asset
One feeds you today.
The other feeds you and your children - FOR DECADES.
Let’s explore the difference between hustle farming and building a scalable agro asset like a hybrid fruit orchard. 👇🏾
🥭 How to Set Up a Profitable Mango Plantation on Just 1 Hectare of Land in Nigeria
In an era where land is becoming more valuable and agriculture more profitable, hybrid mango farming offers one of the smartest and most sustainable paths to long-term income.
Whether you're a seasoned investor or a complete beginner, this guide walks you through how to build a high-yield mango plantation on 1 hectare of land, and what you stand to gain. Let’s dive in:
1. LAND PROCUREMENT
To begin, you need 1 hectare of land (that’s 100m x 100m or 2.47 acres).
📍 Best locations: Kaduna, Nasarawa, Benue, Taraba, Oyo
🧪 Ideal soil: Loamy, well-drained, pH 5.5–7
💧 Must have access to water - a river, borehole, or drip irrigation, etc
💰 Cost: ₦2M–₦5M depending on location and proximity to urban centers
2. LAND PREPARATION
Clear the land and get it ready for planting.
✔️ Bush clearing
✔️ Ploughing and harrowing
✔️ Dig 1ft x 2ft planting holes at 5m x 5m spacing
That gives you 400 mango trees on 1 hectare.
Apply well-decomposed organic manure (cow or poultry) in each hole.
3. SEEDLING PROCUREMENT
Use grafted hybrid mango seedlings. These are improved varieties that grow faster, fruit earlier, and yield more.
Grafted hybrids begin to bear fruit in 2.5–3 years.
Cost per seedling: ~ ₦2,000
Total (for 400 trees): ₦800,000
4. IRRIGATION & MANURE
Hybrid mangoes need water, especially in dry seasons. If you want consistent yield:
✔️ Use drip irrigation if possible
✔️ Apply organic manure annually
✔️ Apply NPK 15:15:15 for early boost
5. MAINTENANCE
Your trees will need attention to grow healthy and productive.
Routine tasks include:
Weeding every 4–6 weeks
Pruning for airflow and light
Pest & disease management
Mulching to retain soil moisture
6. YIELD PROJECTION
By Year 3, your hybrid mango trees will start producing commercially.
🌳 200–300 fruits per tree × 400 trees
= 80,000–120,000 fruits per year
At ₦100–₦150 per fruit:
You’re looking at ₦8 million – ₦18 million annually per hectare
And this grows as the trees mature.
7. LONG-TERM VALUE
Mango trees can produce consistently for 35–50+ years with proper care.
This means:
✅ One-time setup
✅ Decades of harvest
✅ An asset you can pass to your children
8. DON’T WANT TO DO IT YOURSELF?
That’s where FruitTreesNg comes in.
We help investors set up fully managed mango plantations, from land, management to harvest.
With just ₦8.5 million, we can setup a 1 hectare mango plantation for you. This cost covers land procurement in a secured and accessible area, planting, borehole and irrigation system, and management.

FruitTreesNg Plantation Estate Update
Dear Valued Partners,
We are pleased to inform you that work and planting have officially begun on the FruitTreesNg Estate. The rains have now become consistent, which is perfect for establishing our young trees.
At the moment, the grasses and unwanted weeds on site are yet to completely dry off. Once they do, the planted trees will be far more visible. We will then carry out a proper, cleaner photo and video coverage and share it with you.
Unfortunately, we experienced a setback last week when thieves broke into our nurseries and stole all the moringa seedlings we were raising, about 7,000 units, meant for live perimeter fencing around all individual plot(s). We are already taking swift action to raise new ones on-site, and inshaaAllah, they will be ready for planting in the coming weeks.
In line with our commitment to delivering more value, plot dimensions have been increased to 60ft by 100ft (up from the original 50ft by 100ft) to allow us to effectively fit in all the planned 80 trees per plot, at no additional cost to plot owners.
By God’s will, at our current pace, we expect to complete planting over 50,000 trees across more than 600 plots within the next two months.
We were advised by experts not to drill boreholes now but to wait until the end of the rainy season when water levels have dropped. This will ensure we get boreholes deep enough with adequate water supply to serve the estate efficiently all year round. There is a nearby stream we can use as backup, should (God forbid), the rains fail us again.
Finally, you may notice in some of the pictures we’re sharing today that there are women and children from our host community. They visited to show appreciation for bringing this project to their community and also assisted us with some work. We, of course, offered them stipends in gratitude for their help.
Thank you for your continued patience, trust, and partnership.
Warm regards,
The FruitTreesNg Team
