While I am deeply disappointed by the Department of Defense’s decision to return to the Confederate inspired name of Fort Polk, I’m proud to support the proposal to rename Patroon Island Bridge in honor of Sgt. Henry Johnson. He was a true American hero who gave everything for this country, and was tragically denied the recognition he deserved in his lifetime. This bridge renaming is a meaningful way to ensure that his courage and sacrifice are never forgotten.

In an attempt to make our streets safer, by removing illegally operated motorcycles from our streets we held a sweep last night. We seized 10, consisting of dirt bikes, street bikes, and a moped. Not sure when they thought it was legal to ride on sidewalks, ride on one wheel into traffic, not register or insure the bike or just basically take a dump on the entire state vehicle and traffic law but you have our attention. And you fellas hauling your bike into the city, we are looking for you to! More to come. @NYSheriffs
I am overwhelmed with gratitude and joy to see the rebirth of Burdett Birth Center and appreciate the actions of the St. Peter's Health Partners in rescinding the Certificate of Need request that would have closed BBC and transitioned all births to St. Peter's in Albany
