@abbiezuena If sifuna is not the presidential candidate, I will abstain from voting on that day. Sifuna is the only candidate who can energize and motivate huge turn out. This has been confirmed by what we are seeing in his rallies.
BREAKING NEWS: The Guinea Football Federation has urged the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to review the 1976 AFCON outcome, citing Morocco’s walkout and a recent ruling against Senegal.
@EtalePhilip The ordinary ODM members have no problem. The main problem which is purely power struggle and self preservation is the party leader, 2 deputies, the chair, the SG and the minority leader in NA. How did Baba even trust these people with leadership of the party? So sad.
Whenever Luos and Kikuyus come together, Kenya progresses, Kikuyus rule and develop their region and prosper their people alone, and Luos get nothing before they are kicked out within 3 years! The Luos and the Agikuyu came together and Kenya got independence in 1963 - in 1966, Jaramogi and all Luos were kicked out of government. You know what followed in 1969: Tom Mboya assassination, Nyanza Massacre, Jaramogi's house-arrest, marginalisation in development and exclusion of Luos from public service, "Wamera" Oath in which Kikuyus swore that the Presidency will never go to the Luos. President Jomo Kenyatta never stepped in Nyanza from 1969 until he died in 1978.
In 1990 - Jaramogi, Matiba and Rubia came together under "Forum for the Restoration of Democracy (FORD) to fight for the restoration of multi-party democracy in Kenya. Moi was forced to repeal the then section 2A of the Constitution which had made Kenya a de jure one-party State. In the 1992 elections which followed, Matiba split Ford by registering FORD - Asili. Mwai Kibaki who had proclaimed in 1990 that imagining removing Moi's KANU from power was like "cutting mugumo tree with a razor" also created DP. Because they, not Jaramogi, had to rule, FORD Asili and DP split the opposition votes and Moi won with less than one half of the total votes Kenyans cast for the opposition parties.
In 2002, Raila pushed Kibaki to the presidency. Kibaki shut Raila and other Kenyans out of the government which was run by corrupt Mt. Kenya Mafia: Murungaru, Mwiraria, Kiraitu, Saitoti. You remember Anglo-leasing and John Githongo's, "It's our turn to Eat". In 2005, exactly 3 years later, Luos were all kicked out of the government by Kibaki whom they had made President from a wheel-chair!
In 2007, Raila defeated Kibaki in the presidential election by over one million votes. On 31st December, 2007, at the fall of the night at Statehouse, Kikuyus led by Chief Justice Gicheru and Martha Karua swore rejected and defeated Kibaki as President against Raila. Kalonzo joined to secure Kibaki's election rig!
This plunged Kenya into the 2007-08 post-election violence in which thousands of Kenya were killed. The Coalition government led by Kibaki as President compensated Kikuyus multiple times but denied Luos any compensation.
We all know what happened in 2013 and 2027. In 2022, Kikuyu's voted against Raila at the home polling station of his running-mate and Deputy President designate Martha Karua! And, you know why Kikuyus who dominate development and public service under President Ruto are not happy with him - how dare he include Luos - kihii - in public service and development!
From the 1969 "Wamera" oath to the subsequent political assassinations, the political hegemony between Kikuyus and Luos is written in blood!
Babu Owino will soon know his Kikuyu in-laws for who they are. I hope it will not be too late before he returns to Baba.
@CarolRadull Vinicius needs mentorship and counseling from a sports psychologist so as manage emotions and improve decision making when under pressure lest he become a liability to the team.
Tomorrow may be the end of Baba's political career. God of Abraham and Moses please don't let that happen. If it happens then we can only blame one person...uhuru kenyatta
@RaphaelTujuEGH Your tweets are really giving us a lot of hope. We crossing our fingers hoping that the judges do not bring to an end Baba's political career.
@RaphaelTujuEGH Guliye ni mtu mdogo sana. Tell uhuru to go for their master. By Friday next week heads should be rolling. We expect DCI to move very fast once a ruling has been made by supreme c. The worst tragedy will be allowing their master to get power. Caution
@RaphaelTujuEGH@WChebukati People have abused the president na hakuna kitu imefanyika. Now see the kind of affidavits they are taking to supreme c. Enough is enough. Time has come to show these people where real power is. We have tolerated these people for too long. Let something be done swiftly
