@futureport82 As it is, having the Hatbox Ghost in the Endless Hallway is all the proof I need that Magic Kingdom's Haunted Mansion has been forsaken. Although that hideous Madame Leota gift shop in DL might be even worse. Every day my desire to go visit Tokyo Disneyland grows exponentially.

@futureport82 I feel similarly about the Haunted Mansion; the scenes after Madame Leota are nice and all, but the real magic is in that eerie, quiet, beautiful yet unnerving first part of the ride. I'd be incensed if that portion was drastically cut and I'd definitely consider the ride ruined.

@futureport82 Haunted Mansion, Tiki Room, Tom Sawyer Island, and Big Thunder Mountain are my unquestioned S-Tiers. Space Mountain and Peoplemover are definitely A-Tier. So that's at least six rides that I absolutely believe are better than Pirates, not counting any other B-Tier attractions.

@futureport82 Well Jaws wouldn't be the same without its first third. I can understand how not having the bayou and grotto would completely change the feeling of PotC. And yet MK PotC is still one of the better rides in that park. I'd say it's in lower B tier, with at least 6-7 better rides.

@futureport82 Of course, I wish the only things I had to worry about with my beloved WDW was minor quibbles like the bad placement of the Hatbox Ghost in Haunted Mansion or having the weakest Pirates. The closure of Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island hurt, and they hurt really bad..

@futureport82 And yes, I'm aware that the "downgrade" is much more severe between the Pirates rides than the Haunted Mansions, but almost every attempt to make both Haunted Mansion and PotC at WDW more like the DL versions have been disastrous in terms of erasing the cool unique WDW features.
