Accenture used to be Anderson Consulting. In 2000, Arthur Anderson and Anderson Consulting split (a mediated divorce per se) due to revenue sharing issues and competing for the same jobs. In the split, Anderson Consulting was ordered to give up their name. So they became Accenture. In 2001, when Arthur Anderson was involved in the Enron scandal, Accenture was a separate entity and had no involvement.

This is incorrect. I was an employee at Accenture when the Enron scandal happened. Arthur Anderson and Anderson Consulting (now Accenture) split into separate companies in 2000. Basically the split was because Arthur Anderson was competing with Anderson Consulting for the same jobs. In the “divorce”, Anderson Consulting had to give up their name. As employees, we were all decrying it as the worst thing at the time. There was a contest internally at Anderson Consulting to come up with a new name. An employee from a European country (I can’t remember which one) came up with Accenture. It meant Accent on the Future, hence Accenture. The Enron scandal was in 2001. I can tell you as an employee, we ended up happy to have been forced to give up the Anderson Consulting name and to have been divorced from Arthur Anderson.

Went to @SamsClub to buy AirTags and a bunch of other stuff. Used the Scan and Go app (that I normally love). Only problem is that when I got home, I realized I had the AirTag cardboard placard (which I used to pay for the AirTags) but not the actual AirTags. I had forgotten to exchange the placard for the item since it was at the bottom of my shopping cart. Shouldn’t @SamsClub have an alert to the employee checking my Scan and Go cart that I have an item bought with the cardboard placard? Similar to how they have an alert when you buy alcohol and they check your ID. I had to wait over an hour today at @SamsClub while they checked security footage before I got the AirTags.
