@bigbluebosshog I hate to see Jasper go, born and raised in the bluegrass. He really was dealt a rough hand this season and I do think he has the potential to be elite wherever he goes. But if it were my son, I would want him to make as much money as he could.
@meecheeraikes_j@MeManBoy0 My whole point is people need to calm down a little bit. NIL and the Portal has gotten everyone thinking the only way to win is 5 star recruits and expensive transfers. Truthfully, player retention (minutes on the floor) has overwhelmingly been the boon for most teams.
@meecheeraikes_j@MeManBoy0 Yeah. But he was at BYU which is a Mormon school in Utah. You would have to assume that hindered recruiting some. BYU has a great athletic department and has solid teams, but falls short of being a real contender
1. Dusty May (Michigan) โ .818 (first 2 years)
2. Tommy Lloyd (Arizona) โ .815 (first 3 years)
3. Jon Scheyer (Duke) โ .802 (first 3 years)
4. Ben McCollum (Iowa) โ Strong ~.67+ in first year alone (Elite Eight run as a 9-seed)
5. Dan Hurley (UConn) โ .575 (first 3 years)
6. Matt Painter (Purdue) โ .583 (first 3 years) โ note: .583 slightly edges Barnes on % but similar ballpark
7. Rick Barnes (Tennessee) โ .564 (first 3 years)
8. Brad Underwood (Illinois) โ .490 (first 3 years)
Mark Popeโs first two seasons at Kentucky (2024-25 and 2025-26): 46-26 (.639)
No matter how you feel about Pope I hope this shows that even amongst the coaches in the elite eight this year, Pope is running in the middle of the pack on win percentage. Give him some time to get it together.
@BleedBNetwork I mean he is a true freshman getting very limited minutes on a team with veteran transfers that couldnโt play together all year. Thats hard to do.
@DrewFranklinKSR After watching this whole season, you expected better than a blowout loss? There is no way 1 player was going to stop us from doing what weโve done all year.
@DaDirtyDiggler@VilhalvaGabriel@CrimsonDesert_ Iโm not blind it plays fine on console. Itโs never going to run like a pc with a 5060 and 16gigs of ram but Iโm getting consistent 60fps and the game looks like the limitless amounts of videos you can find on the internet. A lot better than launch then Cyberpunk and others
