There's 4 different ranks of fundraising stories:
A bad story: "I don't get it"
A good story: “Sounds interesting”
A great story: “I want to learn more”
An investable story: “How can I contribute to this happening?”
You don’t need a banker to introduce you to investors.
Instead:
- Speak with founders a couple steps ahead of you
- Show your domain expertise through media
- Build relationships with value-add experts
Outsourcing investor connections is not what world-class founders do.
Before you launch a product, you need to launch the story of that product.
It's the same with fundraising.
"Launch" the story of why you are fundable first.
