On 17th April, the government announced it would make an interim payment of £100k to the estates of those who have died as a result of the infected blood scandal, whose deaths were not yet recognised. However, as of today, those payments cannot be claimed for and have not been paid.

@MartinSLewis Nothing about carers. People on universal credit, get deducted carers allowance.. you have to be caring for someone for 37hrs per week.. so you can’t work, as you are caring for someone, Saving huge amounts for the social care. Carers allowance needs to be added not deducted.
