I’m not having 25 weeks of distancing from people to walk into school and teach kids from 192 different households... in close proximity... on day one... without a mask.

Did away with data driven appraisal - achievement didn't drop.

Did away with lesson observations - teachers still taught good lessons.

Stopped full marking in books - kids still moved on.

Everyone much happier. Kids still learning. There's a better way.

3 little classroom hacks in place this morning
1) Touch light (with elbows) to show someone is in the toilet.
2) Velcro whiteboard pens to get best use of ink (and not lose them!)
3) Vecro tissue box to avoid over touching of the box when getting a tissue (just pull).
