🚨 URGENT APPEAL FOR ACCOUNTABILITY, HUMANITY & THE RULE OF LAW
Serious allegations are circulating that Naga volunteers allegedly stopped a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) team travelling towards T. Waichong PHC and allegedly snatched essential medicines, medical supplies and daily necessities from the vehicle.
If this incident occurred as alleged, it is deeply disturbing and unacceptable. Medical supplies are meant for patients and healthcare services. They must never be subjected to intimidation, obstruction, unlawful seizure or looting.
At the same time, the allegations must be independently and transparently verified through the CMO team, eyewitnesses, official records, vehicle details, recovered materials and other credible evidence. Accountability must be based on facts, and no entire community should be collectively blamed for the alleged actions of individuals.
We urgently appeal to the Government of Manipur, Manipur Police, district administration, health authorities, NIA, CBI and other competent authorities to investigate the matter immediately. If wrongdoing is established, every person responsible must be identified and prosecuted according to law, and any seized medical supplies must be recovered and returned.
Healthcare workers must be protected. Medical supplies must reach patients. Essential services must not be obstructed. Public highways must remain safe for ambulances, doctors, nurses and humanitarian teams.
No armed group, volunteer group, organisation or individual should be above the law.
The people deserve truth, accountability and equal justice—not intimidation, fear or impunity.
We call for an impartial investigation, transparent reporting and immediate protection for medical teams serving vulnerable communities.
LET TRUTH PREVAIL.

Why is the focus being shifted toward the NRC while serious questions surrounding the widely circulated Biren Singh viral audio remain unresolved?
The public deserves answers—not distraction, silence or a change of subject. If audio recordings and allegations have been placed before the authorities, they must be independently and impartially verified through forensic investigation to establish whether they are authentic, edited or AI-generated.
We are not asking anyone to prejudge the matter. We are demanding a credible investigation, transparency and accountability. Investigate the evidence first and let the facts speak.
Why has there been no clear public explanation about the status of the investigation? Why should questions surrounding the audio remain unanswered while public attention is redirected elsewhere?
We urge the Supreme Court of India, NIA, CBI, Ministry of Home Affairs and other competent authorities to ensure that the matter is investigated fairly, regardless of political position or influence.
Justice must be equal. Truth must not be buried. Silence cannot replace investigation.

1) "Unresolved census issue since the 2001 & 2011 censuses":
Though partially true, it is an incomplete statement.
There were serious anomalies in parts of Manipur's hill districts, especially in three Naga-majority sub-divisions of Senapati (En):
a) Mao-Maram recorded 143.12% growth in 1991–2001 & 136.33% in 2001–2011.
b) Paomata, recorded 122.64% growth rate.
c) Purul, recorded 168.78% growth in 1991–2001 & 120.38% in 2001–2011.
▪︎● The Enumerated growth rates exceeded 120–169% in a single decade, rates demographers considered demographically impossible under normal fertility, mortality & recorded migration.
▪︎● The Office of the Registrar General of India itself released both enumerated & estimated figures & adjusted some numbers. Academic work (Agrawal & Kumar, Azim Premji University & IIT Delhi) conventional demographic factors cannot explain the spikes & points to likely over-enumeration linked to political incentives around delimitation & resource allocation.

"The population growth rate of Manipur (Singh 2006: 1473) and errors in its population projections
(GoI 2011: 168–172) grew unexpectedly after 1991. Three hill districts- Senapati, Ukhrul & Chandel reported very high population growth rates in 2001. Two of these, Senapati and Chandel, ranked among the ten fastest growing districts of the country in 2001 (GoI 2001b: Statement 8) and also among the ten districts with highest increase in the percentage of illiterates (GoI 2001b: Table 14). The Manipur government did not accept the population estimates for some of the sub-divisions of these districts where the population growth was exceptionally high....To examine the possibility of reviewing the census report, a central team including..the registrar general of India visited Manipur on September 15, 2003 and discussed the matter in the state capital..Accordingly, the government of Manipur started a reenumeration/resurvey from October 7 to October 12, 2003 in the villages which were considered to show abnormal growth. But the people of the concerned districts did not cooperate with the resurvey...
Similarly, people resisted the state government's attempt to verify electoral rolls:Election officials had gone to these Naga villages after a proper notification for a physical verification of the people said to be residing there. However, in all instances the villages were deserted. (Laithangbam 2004).
The Nagas of Senapati continue to complain about the non-implementation of delimitation as per the 2001 Census (E-pao 2013), which would have raised the number of seats allotted to the hills from 20 to 25 in the 60-member legislative assembly of which they (Nagas) would have been the primary beneficiary."

Treating the entire state's census as "unresolved" while ignoring that the worst statistical outliers were Naga pockets is fundamentally partisan & a highly biased assessment.

NRC DEMAND MUST APPLY EQUALLY — STRICT VERIFICATION, JUSTICE AND SECURITY FOR ALL
If an NRC is being demanded by Meitei CSOs and sections of the Meitei community, the KukiCommunity also demands that any NRC exercise in Manipur must be conducted in a fair, transparent, impartial and strictly verifiable manner. If NRC is to be implemented, the process should include rigorous verification of identity, citizenship and records, with the same standards applied equally across the Imphal Valley and the hills of Manipur.
There are serious allegations regarding the presence and activities of armed individuals, including allegations concerning Myanmar-origin militants, individuals allegedly wearing Manipur Police uniforms, and alleged links with groups such as Arambai Tenggol and Meitei Leepun. These allegations must be independently investigated and verified by competent authorities, rather than being ignored or dismissed without examination. The Supreme Court of India, NIA, CBI, Ministry of Home Affairs and other competent security agencies should ensure that any necessary lawful searches, identity verification and investigations are carried out, and that anyone found violating Indian law is dealt with according to due process.
The KukiCommunity in the hills of Manipur is ready to support a lawful, inclusive and credible NRC process, provided that it is free from discrimination, political interference and selective enforcement. Citizenship verification, national security and the rule of law must apply equally to every community and every region of Manipur.

WHERE IS JUSTICE?
The Kuki community continues to raise serious concerns over alleged killings, burning of ancestral villages and obstruction of essential supplies in parts of Ukhrul, Senapati, Kamjong, Tamenglong and Noney. Allegations have been made against NSCN Eastern Flank, NSCN-IM, ZUF Kamson Group and Shan National Army/Junta-linked forces, including the killing of innocent Kuki civilians and three pastors, yet the demand for accountability and arrests remains unanswered.
On the Senapati–Jiribam highway, there are also serious allegations of illegal tax collection from truck drivers transporting essential commodities. At the same time, the Kuki community in Ukhrul, Kamjong and Kangpokpi faces allegations of coordinated blockade and disruption of essential supplies involving NSCN-IM, ZUF Kamson Group, Shan National Army/Junta-linked elements and various organisations named in the accompanying appeal.
Where are the Cobra Team and other Central forces? Where are the high authorities? These allegations must be independently investigated, and no armed group or civilian organisation should be allowed to threaten civilians, burn villages, collect illegal taxes or obstruct essential humanitarian supplies.
We urgently appeal to the Government of India, Supreme Court of India, NIA, CBI, NHRC, Ministry of Home Affairs and Central security authorities to ensure impartial investigation, protect civilians, secure the movement of essential commodities, prevent illegal taxation and blockade, and take lawful action against anyone found responsible.
Justice delayed is justice denied. Protect civilian lives. Ensure free and safe movement of essential supplies. Let the law prevail.

Kuki INA Freedom Fighters Deserve Statehood — The Life of Veteran Haojathang Haokip Proves It
Born in 1925, INA veteran Haojathang Haokip deserted the British Village Force in 1939 to join Netaji’s Azad Hind Fauj. Fighting in the Manipur-Burma theatre, he was captured in Homalin in July 1944 and jailed for six months. His story mirrors 6,000 Kukis who supported the INA in 1944, with 148 recognized for pension. Post-Independence, he served as a Block member and met Nehru. Honouring his sacrifice means granting his community’s demand for a secure state/UT in their ancestral hills.
