Just an observation: when you love the autonomous will of man, you will hate the autonomous will of God. That hatred will warp your mind and your sense of reality, resulting in some of the most inane errors of logic and reasoning ever recorded in print, word, or on line. And the current discourse on X is proving this observation to be true on every level. But, do not be weary. By this time two weeks from now it will be another topic proving the observation to be correct. Meanwhile, chocolate covered almonds still prove God loves us! :-)
@AlgoOPCWPC@YouTube Algo- looking for a DL or a lecture where James talks about being introduced to a church group as either LDS or a JW (can't remember specifically) and roleplaying as an elder to test them. Please advise if you know what I'm talking about
@J17apologetics Dual Causation!! Isaiah 10! Assyria sent as judgment on God's people, [7] But it does not intend to act in this way, And it does not think in its heart in this way, Rather, what is in its heart is to destroy And to cut off many nations.
Let God be greater than man.
@fred_n7mhs Lol. Calvin Derangement Syndrome is real. Whenever I talk to non-reformed I just say I agree with every point in Cyril Lucaris' confession. They never read it 😭
@Verlustt11 Right. Please provide evidence for, say, just the last 200 years of infallibly defined Marian Dogmas. Can the teachings of the Immaculate Conception and the Assumption be proved from scripture?
Dr Flowers wants a god he can commune with- his god is in time, just like him, his god learns, grows, CHANGES, because the man fashions a god he can handle, a little reflection of himself.
never mind "My ways are not your ways", etc.

God doesn’t learn, or does He?
“He (the Son) learned obedience…” Heb. 5:8
What Bible verse specifically says God doesn’t learn? I realize there can be different ways to understand what it means to “learn something.” Such as “experiencing something for the first time” or “gaining knowledge about something formerly unknown.” And I understand the hesitation in saying, “God learned,” because it can come across as if God is somehow a lessor being prior to learning something new. But, is the Bible concerned about this?
Think about it. Prior to creation God had never experienced the created world. That was “new” to Him in some meaningful sense of that word.
Why are some of us more concerned than the Biblical authors were about making sure people understand God never learns anything? Does God learning have to be understood as a demeaning quality given that the Bible doesn’t shy away from stating it outright?
But…but…Anthropomorphic language!!!
Ok, ok! I get it. The Bible gives God human like qualities to help us better understand Him. Good. So why can’t people understand Him and explain how He relates to others using only those Biblical statements without a barrage of corrective lectures accusing people of making God “too human?”
It cannot be overstated how much this film filters morons. The rebuilds as a whole prove that a great number of Evangelion fans are only fans of the aesthetic and nothing else. They can't even begin to fathom artistic intent.
