Some of the things that shaped who I am today happened when I was way too young to really understand what was going on around me. I’ve been feeling the need to write those memories down. They are all pieces of my story & the older I get, the more I realize just how much they matter. I can see now that even in the moments I didn’t understand, God was always with me even when I never knew it.
I don’t always agree with her, but having seen the film she’s discussing in the clip, I don’t think it’s fair to compare it to a typical Hollywood horror movie. It focuses on biblical spiritual warfare, how Satan uses deception to make evil seem good and sin seem acceptable. It even addresses abortion from a spiritual perspective. The purpose of the movie isn’t to glorify evil or entertain through fear, but to reveal how the enemy works, often unnoticed. If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend it.
It has to be a pride problem. Do they not understand that Jesus taught that sin isn’t just about our outward actions, but also the condition of our hearts? Even our own thoughts can convict us. The more we understand God’s holiness, the more we recognize our own need for His grace.
@beready4rapture I realize I left this without clarification. 🤦♀️ I haven’t celebrated it in a few years now because I began feeling convicted. My church does a trunk or treat, but this year it’s in November and it’s more of a fall outreach type event.
@beready4rapture I used to celebrate it and never once felt guilty or convicted to stop celebrating. I think it’s a sanctification issue for many Christians. God seems to clean us all up differently depending on where we are when we become born again.
@PeterEnns3@Ken_FiveSolas you are now changing the subject. Your original argument was that believers create a version of God according to their own preferences. I challenged the logic of that claim. Whether God exists is a separate question. Can you address the argument you originally made?
Our sweet boy Scout passed away suddenly today. He has been part of our family since 2019, and we are absolutely heartbroken. Please keep my son in your prayers. He loved Scout so much. 🐾❤️
Meet our newest family member... his name is Scout. He slept in my bed last night. He managed to get stuck between the bottom of the mattress & the bed. I've been awake since 1 am. 😂 Poor guy was belly up.
FYI, he didn't get hurt. He was wagging his tail after I rescued him. 💜
