다음 세대들이 전쟁없는 세상을 알수있는것이 마지막날까지 목소리를 내는 생존자들의 꿈이다. 생존자들의 수는 점점 줄어들고 있다. 한 세대가 떠나고 있다. 당신의 세대가 떠날때 위안부의 기념비는 남아 있을것인가?

생존자 곽금려는 잘못 행동하거나 기능을 잃은 모든 소녀들에게 무슨 일이 일어났는지 보여줬다. 그녀는 군인들의 발 밑, 부패와 피의 악취가 공기를 탁하게 만든 어린 여자들의 시체로 가득찬 어둡고 더러운 공간인 지하실에 대해 얘기하기 위해 살았다.

위안소 제도가 처음으로 시행된지 거의 100년이 되었다. 하지만 정부기관의 손에서 성폭력은 끝날 기미가 보이지 않는다. 아이들은 여전히 밀거래 되고 황폐한 시리아에서처럼 매 시간 전쟁때문에 죽임을 당한다.
