The main reason I watch @CNBC & @business is that they are such blatant, yet successful, manipulation engines, and I want to know how the retail trader is being [mis]lead.
I’m currently watching some kid anchoring Bloomberg who clearly doesn’t realize that he is feeding his audience CCP propaganda…
*and fund propaganda
*and FED propaganda
*and wow! some cute story about how he didn’t know what the summer solstice was!! he is so relatable!!!
He keeps repeating “TikTok argues that the US skirted the law by giving them no choice but to shut down when there were many tech solutions”
Earth to news puppet:
1) the US told the CCP they could sell. And they refused because the last thing they could ever do is let another company see how they have been manipulating Americans (they don’t want to be caught in the Twitter file findings 2.0).
2) every time the CCP has claimed to have a bullet-proof way to protect users & their data a whistleblower has come out to show how they had actually just created a new backdoor.
I’m sure Lucy will hold the football THIS time, Charlie Brown…
3) your job is not to keep repeating objectively false information, especially from a foreign adversary.
It’s shocking to think that retail investors could ever see this as objective information, and that “news” like this has become so common that I’d be more surprised to see the opposite (actionable, objectively true, courageously offered regardless of popularity, etc).
I just don’t see how the corporate news world ever recovers at this point, and maybe that’s for the best.
In the meantime it’s also heartening to see so many brilliant independent & objective thinkers (like @balajis, @naval, & @KonstantinKisin) continue to thrive.
While he clearly isn’t getting much credit… I believe @elonmusk purchasing Twitter was a critical turning point & I’m hopeful that as more audiences wake up we will see the net impact of these propaganda engines diminish over time.
we never stopped to think if we should. new twitter spaces ft. @BoredElonMusk & our CEO @cummingssi this tuesday at noon pacific 👉 https://t.co/fGtQ4AVdH4
