I had an engaging meeting with Hon. Judith Pareno, Principal Secretary at the State Department for Justice, Human Rights and Constitutional Affairs of the Republic of Kenya on the sidelines of the 35th session of the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice #CCPCJ35.

We took stock of the strong collaboration between Kenya and @UNODC, particularly in expanding access to legal aid, advancing criminal justice sector reforms, strengthening anti-corruption efforts and enhancing protection frameworks for victims of trafficking.

We also explored avenues for further cooperation in police capacity-building, including counter-terrorism, as well as strengthening regional law enforcement collaboration.

With the support of Norway 🇳🇴, the Dialogue brings together Young MPs from 16 Southern African countries, including Kenya 🇰🇪, Benin 🇧🇯 and Chad 🇹🇩 to share regulatory experiences on advancing transparency and accountability in political party financing in the region
