Be the advocate your students might not have. Break down walls and barriers, cheer for them in the stands, bend over backwards, do what you can to help them be successful. Be a teacher of IMPACT, not a teacher of content. #gccedu
Thoroughly enjoyed my training from Tricia with @SafeAndCivil this week! My biggest takeaway was the concept of systems analysis. Each of our classrooms are tiny systems, and we get to design all the parts that make them work…or fail. That’s okay! We get endless redos!
Did you know that @k20center provides TONS of instructional strategies for teachers on k20 Learn? Bonus points: They even let you filter by intention/purpose, the part of the lesson you need it for, and more! Huge win as we focus on #reflection!
@jmattmiller When I’m talking, I want to crush them with my bare hands. “It’s not playing anything!” Drives me nuts. Independently working? Love it. Plus, they can still hear me if I need to address everyone. Developmentally? Worried about the constant dependence to stimulation.
Recently did an icebreaker with question cards. It asked, “If you could get rid of anything from your daily routine, what would it be?” Top answer across multiple class periods was overwhelmingly “School.” Where is this problem starting? How do we both prevent and react to it?
This teacher has a spot in her classroom called “The Fridge” where kids can post pictures of their loved ones, extracurricular victories, etc. to have a piece of home in the classroom. I want to try this in a secondary environment! So cool!

Today I learned @KamiApp offers teachers a ton of tools like screen reading, highlighting, and written/verbal feedback. @MrsMalloryJones, this would be an awesome resource to share with our teachers of students with accommodations! #NISDITBingo@ReneEgle
Did you know you can make videos and slide presentations with @Canva? I thought I was pretty good with making posters and other graphics, but now I get to take it to the next level! #NISDITBingo@ReneEgle
As I look forward to summer PD, I'm excited to hear from @SHEG_Stanford, @CollegeBoard, and @ESC11SS! Social Studies teachers - how else are you prepping for next year? #NISDITBingo@ReneEgle
Today I pushed my comfort zone and made some Motes of Affirmation for a couple of awesome colleagues! Also, I couldn't resist making a Canva template for them... @Mrs_Tricomi, I hope you're feelin' the love! @ReneEgle#NISDITBingo
Our district recently adopted @Canvas_by_Inst. I LOVE that Canvas gives me the tools to provide nearly immediate feedback with a rubric, and written and verbal @justmoteHQ comments! @ReneEgle#NISDITBingo
As I am working to make the jump to high school for the 23-24 school year, I've been itching to articulate some goals and ideas! I chose to use @padlet - usually, I love Padlet for collaboration, but today, it made my jumbled thoughts feel so organized! #NISDITBingo@ReneEgle
