@waitbutwhy I assume it’s mostly that the car lobby is stronger than the other lobbies? 2 more years of buyers. 2 more years of insurance payments, registrations, gasoline, tires etc… That’s a giazzilion dollars right there. Seems strong enough of a reason for a law to pass. Better PR also.
@waitbutwhy I’ve been using my LG 32” ultra fine 4K for a year now, 87 hours a day and it’s been lovely. It also has 700 different ports in the back and direct usb-c for apple laptop connection.
@Austen To be fair, as far as I know, and I’m a green card holder that took 15 years to get one, there actually is a quick route for investors to get a green card. You can literally invest half a million into something and that becomes your reason for having the green card granted.
@jordanbpeterson It seems that happiness is connected with a direction more than a state or thought. We’re happy when things are going “better” and an upward swing feels “possible”. And feel down when the direction reverses toward worsening and “impossibility”, regardless of our starting point.
@MsMelChen I think it’s more likely that the consumers will choose, rather than the countries. The “image” will be whatever sells the best to the larger number of rich customers. So maybe the question is more: who’s more likely as a people to have more average buying power?
@BretWeinstein I was wondering if you’ve been following the hypothesis that Covid-19 works by inhibiting the body’s capacity to curb inflammation and oxidation. And the possible role of NAC in reversing, or slowing down, that process. https://t.co/uv1tLADfBx
