And this despite oil shocks and global uncertainty. Credit where it is due: PM Modi’s focus on reforms, infrastructure, investment and fiscal stability is delivering. The India growth story remains firmly on track. I only hope the rains do not play spoilsport in the future.

India GDP growth Q1 (April-June) at 7.8%. This was the peak period of Iran conflict. India has shown resilience vis a vis concerns in March and April.
India has also bought insurance with ~ $100 bn+ Foreign Currency deposits for 3 to 5 year maturity.
However, Middle East is still unresolved, AI game is full on, and US bond yields are playing truant.

🔷मुंबई महानगरातील वाहतूक कोंडी सोडविण्‍यासाठी व सुगम, अखंड प्रवासाच्या उद्देशाने बृहन्‍मुंबई महानगरपालिकेने मुंबई किनारा रस्‍ता (उत्‍तर) हा महत्वाकांक्षी पायाभूत सुविधा प्रकल्‍प हाती घेतला आहे. संपूर्ण मुंबईचा किनार पट्टा यामुळे एकमेकांना जोडला जाणार आहे. अतिरिक्‍त महानगरपालिका आयुक्‍त (प्रकल्‍प) श्री. अभिजीत बांगर यांनी प्रकल्‍पस्‍थळास प्रत्‍यक्ष भेट देऊन पाहणी केली. तसेच, आवश्‍यक ते निर्देश दिले.

🔷मुंबई किनारा रस्‍ता (उत्‍तर) हा मेगा प्रकल्‍प आंतरबदल व जोडरस्‍त्‍यासह सुमारे ६० किलोमीटरचा असून वेसावे - भाईंदर ही नगरे किनारा रस्‍त्‍याने जोडली जाणार आहेत. त्‍यामुळे वेसावे ते भाईंदर प्रवासाचा कालावधी ९० ते १२० मिनिटांवरून केवळ १५ ते २० मिनिटांवर येणार आहे.

🔷या प्रकल्पाच्या उभारणीचे काम ए, बी, सी, डी, ई, एफ आणि दहिसर भाईंदर जोड रस्‍ता (DBLR) अशा एकूण सात टप्प्यांमध्ये (Package) विभागण्यात आले आहे. आधुनिक तंत्रज्ञानाचा वापर करून दुहेरी उन्‍नत मार्ग (Double Elevated Roads), खारफुटी क्षेत्रातील खांबांवरील रस्‍ता (Roads on Stilts), २ केबल आधारीत पूल (Cable Stayed Bridge), ४ बास्‍केट पूल, सुमारे १५ मीटर व्‍यासाचे २ जुळे बोगदे (Twin Tunnels) आणि १० आंतरबदल (Interchanges) अशा विविध पायाभूत सुविधा उभारण्यात येणार आहेत.

🔷पॅकेज सी मध्‍ये माईंडस्‍पेस मालाड ते चारकोप खाडीदरम्‍यान उत्‍तर दिशेने जाणा-या ३.९ किलोमीटर लांबीच्‍या बोगद्याचा आणि पॅकेज डी मध्‍ये चारकोप खाडी ते माईंडस्‍पेस मालाड दरम्‍यान दक्षिण दिशेने जाणा-या ३.९ किलोमीटर लांबीच्‍या जुळ्या बोगद्यांचा (Twin Tunnels) विकसनाचा समावेश आहे. अतिरिक्त महानगरपालिका आयुक्‍त (प्रकल्‍प) श्री. अभिजीत बांगर यांनी या दोनही पॅकेज अंतर्गत येणा-या कामांची प्रत्‍यक्ष पाहणी केली.

🔷चारकोप येथे बोगद्याच्या बांधकामासाठी शाफ़्ट उभारण्यात येणार असून त्यासाठी ६५ मीटर × ४० मीटर क्षेत्रफळाच्या जागेवर खोदकाम सुरू करण्यात आले असून पायलिंगचे काम सुरु आहे. बोगदा खणन सयंत्राचे (TBM) सुटे भाग डिसेंबर २०२६ मध्ये उपलब्ध होणार आहेत. त्यानंतर पुढील दोन महिन्यात बोगदा खणन सयंत्राचे सुटे भाग जुळवाजुळव (Assembly) प्रक्रिया पूर्ण करून बोगद्याचे खोदकाम सुरू करणे अपेक्षित आहे. तर, जून महिन्यात दुसऱ्या बोगदा खनन यंत्राची जुळवाजुळव (Assembly) पूर्ण करून दुसऱ्या बोगद्याचे खोदकाम सुरू केले जाईल.

🔷या किनारा रस्ते प्रकल्पाची कामे गुणवत्तापूर्ण आणि निर्धारित कालावधीत पूर्ण करावीत, असे निर्देश श्री. बांगर यांनी दिले.

🔷प्रमुख अभियंता (रस्‍ते व वाहतूक) श्री. मांतय्या स्‍वामी, कार्यकारी अभियंता श्री. वैभव गांधी, संबंधित अभियंते, सल्‍लागार यावेळी उपस्थित होते.

Covering the demise of two Ganpati revellers yesterday makes one realise how in Mumbai, Ganpati celebrations are an emotion.

For Mumbaikars, it is one of the most loved and revered festivals. People from different faiths happily visit the homes of friends and neighbours who bring Bappa home. I do it too. At the same time, I think we should try and celebrate the festival in a way that is kinder to the environment. There are many such ways we can make our celebrations more sustainable without taking away from the joy or devotion of the festival.

Because celebrating any festival and caring for the environment don't have to be two different things. 🙏🏽

Walked the Prabhadevi railway station premises today. Citizens had raised concerns around overcrowding and limited walking space.

Officials from Railways, MMRDA, Traffic Police and RPF joined the visit.

The area sees high pedestrian movement, especially during peak hours.

Over the next few weeks, the premises will see improvements. As per instructions of Hon. Commissioner @AshwiniBhide mam, BMC will actively work on improving footpaths and roads for pedestrian priority and safety outside both the north and south ends of the station.

All agencies will work on improving the area around the station and resolve problems highlighted by the citizens.

Railways will expedite the work on the new staircase being built at the south end and also improve the area inside the railway premises.

▪️NHAI is constructing a temporary access road at the Talasari interchange of Delhi-Mumbai Expressway.

▪️As infra enthusiasts already know, Package 10 of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway has been delayed due to the contractor (Roadway Solutions India Infra Ltd.), and due to this, the Talasari interchange is also still incomplete.

▪️With this temporary access road, people would be able to get onto the expressway.

▪️Except this interchange, everything else would be ready by December 2026, including the under-construction bridge on Vaitarna river in Package 13.

▪️By December 2026, the section of the expressway from Talasari interchange to Virar interchange would be opened for traffic, which will vastly reduce the traffic load on Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway (NH48).

▪️If Vadape interchange work is completed by December, NHAI might also open the expressway upto Amane interchange, which will allow seamless flow of traffic from Delhi-Mumbai Expressway to Mumbai-Nagpur Samruddhi Expressway.
