You didn’t just get “a little out of shape.”
You abandoned yourself.
Every excuse, every skipped workout, every garbage meal—
It all led here.
But here’s the good news:
You built this prison.
And you can tear it down.

This country was not built for the simple individual. The American dream was never to work a steady job, buy a house, live off a single income as you work for someone else. It was built for the daring, the risk takers, the people that wanted to make something. Being a 9-5 wage slave isn’t, nor has it ever been, the “American dream”. It genuinely surprises me when people want to seek out the bare minimum AND be taken care of.
For 2 bogus attempted murder charges that they ended up reducing to the lowest class felony there is, I pled no contest and got time served. They threatened that if I didn’t accept it that we would go to trial (which my lawyer said I would’ve won), and that because of how backed up their system was I would sit and wait until at least October 2019 for trial. I was 25 at the time and sometimes I wish I would’ve just waited and gone to trial.
Did 21 months in Craven County Jail in NC, from June 2015- March 2017. 14 months of it was in what they call “The garage”, it’s 1 of 2 small cells they put drunks in while they sober up. No bunk, no cellmate, no way to interact with anyone, no books, no commissary, your lights stay all the way on 24/7. You get a 5 minute shower every 72 hours, and once a week you get 15 minutes, supervised, to write a letter.
