There was more than 500,000 people there who could have easily over round them, but a largely peaceful crowd early on was incited by capitol police throwing exploding devices.

NEW: Reporters caught on hot mic appearing to joke about an assassination attempt on Donald Trump.

The reporters were gathering to get a shot of Trump as he was set to appear at the federal courthouse for his criminal immunity appeal.

Reporter 1: "You know what the worst part is? Even if he has his window open and he’s hanging out of it he will be on the other side of the street."

Reporter 2: "If he’s driving, we’ve got a good shot."

Reporter 1: "Yeah, if he’s driving with the front window open?"

@CitizenLenz The capitol police angered the crowd to riot on purpose tossing exploding non lethal munitions into the I seriously doubt this. MAGA has always respected the police and even as the riot was progressing there were people trying to stop the attack on the capitol.
