The Galgotias episode at the ongoing AI summit in Delhi is quite illustrative of the fakery that has come to represent the Narendra Modi regime and the right-wing ecosystem that creates narrative noise in its favour. It started with netas sharing images of Chinese cities as Gujarat cities; it has now come to appropriating Chinese tech as 'Make in India'. It didn't happen in a day; it has taken 12 years to reach this far. But some of us had been warning right from the beginning that something like this would happen one day. The regime placed its votaries in educational institutions and other places of authority, who then built a culture of unquestioning obedience to authority figures through armies of obsequious minions. Educational spaces that allowed critical thinking were criminalised as hubs of anti-national activity while others whose CEOs or VCs would replace their Twitter DPs with Mr. Modi's pic or post "Nation First" on their LinkedIn profiles were celebrated as the intellectual engines of 'New India'. Don't unload your bile on the poor woman professor or the university; instead, reflect on the poor political choices you yourself have made all these years or cheered in the name of teaching a lesson to "anti-Hindus" and "anti-nationals". This is on you.

@zoo_bear @Uber_India @nammayatri I found the exact fare difference on the 3rd of Jan. But there is a free airport Volvo bus shuttle from T1 to P4 where Rapido (maybe Namma Yatri too) is allowed to pick from. So used that for a Rapido!

@MKuefner Besides being a gaudy "show" of one's own face, it serves another purpose! To hide the unsightly parts of the city from the eyes of the visitor. Something the administration should have actually spent money and effort on instead of spending it on these gaudy banners!😡

@Incognito_qfs Most roadside balloon vendors (source for most events) use Hydrogen as it's almost free to produce. All you need is some Hydrochloric Acid (available at cleaning stores) & pieces of metal. Helium needs to be sourced. Have heard of acid cylinders exploding causing grave injuries!
