Ladies, men have an emotional response to being withheld sex from their wives.
So do women, of course.
But many women—throughout the course of our entire lives—never have anyone reject us sexually. Not once. We have a power that men don’t. It’s always us having to do the rejecting; that comes with its own emotional pain and toll, of course—an experience husbands and men in general, would do well to likewise try to understand.
We should both seek to understand each other. See how that works?
But speaking from a woman’s perspective: we shouldn’t write off our husbands as animals or only after one thing or inconsiderate or completely oblivious, when he desires sex, and you’re too tired/stressed/etc.
Don’t presume you understand what it’s like to be sexually rejected by the person you love, if it’s never happened to you.
