We are proud and honoured to receive support from @asdvafrica
The true burden of Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS) in Africa is close to unknown due to a lack of studies. Currently, GHiSA is investigating the epidemiology of HS in 11 countries spread across Africa!

One of the biggest problems concerning the disease #hidradenitis_suppurativa, is that the global, and in most instances national disease burden is still unknown.
When such basic information is still lacking how can we expect stakeholders to realize the scope of the problem? 🤔
In Denmark the figure is well known. 0.2% of the population have been diagnosed with HS.

However as HS is still widely unknown how many go undiagnosed?
