OBEDIENCE TO WHAT JESUS TAUGHT HIS DISCIPLES

Speaking in tongues after receiving the Spirit is referenced a few times throughout Acts. If it happened at the initial outpouring, then that is how it would be going forward.

Are we to believe that water and spirit is not essential?
Water and Spirit was even essential in the Old Testament. The Israelites were baptized into the sea leaving Egypt. Or the blood applied to the doorposts for the angel of death to Passover. We need the blood applied, not just believing. Belief precedes action. God will answer your questions through His Word, pray and seek. Don’t allow religion to guide you. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, the Life. All religion is flawed and has man’s interpretation
