MLB wants to curb the Dodgers’ spending in the name of competitive balance. This October, the Brewers and Rays are trying to show that the little guy can still win it all. https://t.co/rRDKznrdgN
I know this is not a popular opinion with my fellow Conservatives, but I have never believed that execution was an acceptable sentence. I am not aware (may be wrong) of Biblical justification. The Old Testament regularly describes exile. Execution is “an eye for an eye.”
JUST IN: Convicted killer Christa Pike is now in critical condition after surviving two lethal injection attempts in Tennessee, according to her attorney.
"Christa is alive right now," attorney Randy Spivey says, adding that Pike is receiving "lifesaving care" at a hospital.
Another attorney says it appears a needle may have become dislodged or pierced through a vein, preventing the lethal drug from being properly administered. Tennessee officials have not yet confirmed what caused the execution to fail.
Pike was sentenced to death for the 1995 torture and murder of 19-year-old Colleen Slemmer.
She was set to become the first woman executed in Tennessee in more than 200 years.
The extraordinary sequence inside the execution chamber is now under investigation. Read what witnesses saw and heard as Pike remained alive after two doses: https://t.co/v84MyMEX4L

“Pope Leo XIV is the one man in the world most of us can look up to.
“Everywhere we look, we are led by a cartoon parade of the grotesque, the inept, the forgettable: political leaders of towering vanity and vapidity, a business leadership class that helps itself to greater riches even as it gets preachier with the rest of us, influencers and pop stars and celebrities, a galloping gallimaufry of narcissistic nobodies all desperately squeezing their last little crumb of manna from us.
“God knows, this pope has his critics. Nowhere more so than in his own land (as Jesus could have told him, that’s usually the way). In keeping with the simplistic tropes in which much American political discourse is now conducted, he is decried as “woke,” “liberal,” even a “communist.”
“It says a terrifying amount about what has happened to the American right that this man who urges governments to respect the sanctity of human life, desist from war, and observe the Christian gospel of charity for all is viewed as merely a lefty Chicago pol.” — @GerardTBaker https://t.co/EMsypWIgOc
Following a meeting with the largest technology companies Tuesday, President Trump announced he and industry leaders signed a “morally binding” AI agreement to self-regulate. The meeting comes after Trump said earlier this month he would use the DOJ and FBI for AI enforcement if needed. @HannahBrandt_TV
GOP Sen. John Kennedy says no public official, including President Trump, “should spend public money on private ads for themselves,” after the White House aired a government-funded ad prominently featuring the president.
“You can’t spend public money to promote yourself,” Kennedy (R-LA) says, adding, “I also think that we ought to have a rule that no politician can have a building named after him while he’s alive.”
Trump is lawless ignoring court orders, not to mention the Constitution. He should be impeached and removed. What great things has he done that makes those who claim to be conservative still justify their support of him?
The White House is barring CNN from flying on Air Force One on Saturday as part of the news outlet’s duties covering the president on behalf of major television networks. https://t.co/D16Sq92nYb
We conservatives, before 2016, decried "moral equivalence": the inability to choose between right and wrong, aggressor and victim, invader and invaded, friend and foe, tyrant and democrat, good and evil. Our country is disgraced. America, at present, is not itself.
Foolish post as usual. China heavily regulates everything. They are communists, it’s the definition of regulation. AI is really exciting but needs some control. Again suggesting an outside group with teeth to develop some guidelines possibly headed by somebody like @SteveCase
All while the President of the United States meets with Delcy Rodríguez as if she were an elected official and not a criminal, oppressor, torturer….should I continue?
This morning I watched this show and its hosts for about 10 minutes. My opinion, unrelated to the story below, is that it lacked any factual information (news) and was full of childishly contrived opinions and conspiracies. Please, do not watch this network.

Retired Marine Col. @NewshamGrant breaks down the national security implications of President Trump's new Greenland agreement—which would expand U.S. military access while keeping the island under Danish sovereignty.
"You have guarantees that we have real freedom of action militarily... the right to keep our adversaries out."
The Fed raised rates by 25 basis points, the first rate hike in 3 years. Cato’s @JaiKedia notes that inflation has been a persistent problem but has been exacerbated by the Trump administration's policies of war and reckless spending.
Agreed. Governments will not do it well. Instead, the industry should hire Eric Schmidt, Paul Ryan, and others to coordinate policies for the AI industry to adhere to. The government should be responsible for restraining China and others.
AI-companies shouldn’t wait for governments to legislate on the technology before putting in their own safety controls, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said https://t.co/ljLkRVmJbR
