@UomoPolpetta@TheFemoid It was the best fallout game that came around when the most represented demographic in online spaces was in their teen years. And it was also quite politically left with notable queer companions.
@Matt75204071@airbagg3d To be fair, TOW2 was led by the parts of Obsidian that haven't actually worked on. Like not only was Josh Sawyer absent from the development of both games, but Leonard Boyarsky stepped away to an advisor role for the sequel.
@MunstaMasta The "Obsidian has stopped making good games" argument only holds water if you ignore the good games Obsidian made parallel to Avowed/TOW. Like between TOW1 and Avowed they released Grounded and Penitent, both of which are amazing. And before that they made POE and Tyrrany.
@talipov867@Split_Peach People generally play pretty loose with religious laws when they contradict culture. Turkic and Slavic cultures often adhered to Islam/Christianity less than their arab/coptic counterparts.
@Randomname95705@DarkOddCon My money is on autism. People like to woobify autism, but autistic MFers who don't put in any effort into not becoming an asshole end up like that.
@big__chung Don't try to slander the GOAT, he's more than just epstein. In the wise words of Edward Cullen from Twilight "I'm the world's most dangerous predator."
@maxeygon@MK_Richardson1@adonispara TBH I don't really blame people for thinking someone's being serious on this site. I've never seen more back-to-back stupid takes than this website.
@VVI92104@hrguerra People think Western culture was shaped by Ancient Greeks because people in the late renaissance decided that they wanted to claim a cultural link when really Hellenism's influence is largely seen across the Islamic world.
@VVI92104@hrguerra I don't really agree that the movie *should* be defended. Basically the whole cast are Northern Europeans playing Eastern Mediterraneans.
@hrguerra One's definitely closer but the Nolan version still does not have a single Greek actor in a major role afaik. That's despite "let's cast ethnic greeks for a story that's culturally important for them" being pretty bipartisan at this point.
@FormerlyJim@messmerflame148 Avowed is so funny because it was the studio's biggest project, yet all the studio's veteran talent was busy making low budget passion projects like Penitent. Why did they do this???
@Jackvell@bulgarbrutalit2 Vietnam was fighting a war of independence. They are currently an independent country. That is, at the very least a Pyrrhic victory.
@Enkazyel@RinoTheBouncer I think publishers very much can work (see smaller publishers like Devolver and Hooded Horse) but it's largely the private equity firms and shareholders that ruin the big ones.
