Earlier today, I had the honour of visiting St. Jude’s Catholic Church at New Weija, a church I was privileged, by God’s grace, to help build in fulfilment of a promise to my good friend and resident priest, Father Andrew Campbell, the resident priest.

Seeing the beautiful edifice today was deeply moving.

Trading on Ghana’s newly established Stock Exchange came with its own set of challenges. So I gave it what the farm and the classroom had taught me: preparation, patience, and full attention to detail.

At the end of the program, I was adjudged the best trainee. That was when this photo was taken with my colleague from the National Trust Holding Company.

I mention this, not for applause, but for what it confirmed to me, that excellence is not a talent. It is a habit, applied daily, until it becomes indistinguishable from character.

Had a productive meeting today with the Japanese Ambassador to Ghana, His Excellency Hiroshi Yoshimoto, and his team, including JICA.

Our discussions focused on strengthening our bilateral ties and deepening cooperation in key areas, including digitalization, fintech, artificial intelligence, flood control and methods to combat galamsey.

My thanks to H.E. Yoshimoto and his team for the courtesy of their visit.

The use of arrests and detention as a tool to intimidate political opponents by this government is just shocking. When a man is easily locatable, there is no reason for which you will arrest and detain him on a Saturday to be investigated the ff week. The precedents being set by this govt just undermine all the decades of progress we’ve made as a country on matters of rule of law.
