Louisville Friends, share this far and wide! We are still in need of a 5th Grade Teacher here at JCPS's Hidden Gem, Hazelwood Elementary. It's a great place to work and this team is AMAZING! Help us to be fully staffed before the start of school! @hazelwood_hawks
@PriceOwls Backpack League teachers do whatever it takes to make sure ALL students have access to grade level curriculum. Co-teach during a summer program? Of course we will! @JCPSAcademics@JCPSLeads@AndreaHonigsfel
"Only assessing student understanding in written form is like only being able to see one ray of the entire sunset...seeing other students shine created a domino effect of inspiration for students to shine their own light..." Leah Baron: https://t.co/X4LBVSY7DB #mathchat#k12
It has been a FULL few days @ShelbyJCPS! From Kindergarten orientation, to deep standards and unit planning work, to learning about co-teaching strategies that best support our students learning English - we are setting ourselves up for #AISuccess this year!
John Lewis and C.T. Vivian loved this country so much that they risked their lives so that it might live up to its promise. They gave all of themselves to the cause of freedom and justice, and inspired generations to follow their example. Now it’s up to us to continue the work.
From learning where we fit into our democracy at the HERstory kickoff, to dreaming about our futures while studying inspirational Black Americans, to having ALL the feels with our Shark fam at our supply pickup, we had a FULL Black History Month @ShelbyJCPS! #AISBlackHistoryMonth
I taught one of Della’s grandsons a few years ago and have come to know and love several members of his family for their kindness, generosity, and open hearts. They have been hit unbelievably hard by Covid. Any help would be appreciated. ❤️❤️❤️

"I am feeling like we can exhale, maybe for a moment, even though in our bodies we still hold the memory of George, and of Ahmaud, and of Breonna, and of Elijah, and of 400,000 souls lost to a terrible disease, and a terrible failure," -@stewartdantec.

He's gone. And now, it is up to us to drive out what he represents. He is lies and bigotry and injustice and tyranny embodied--and the work is only beginning to drive him out of our body politic.
Joy, today.
Resolve, tomorrow.
Today, there are no Black women in the U.S. Senate because our nation’s second-ever Black woman senator is now becoming our first-ever Black woman VP.
Black women shouldn't have to sacrifice our representation at one table to have a seat at another. Elect more Black women.
