Did anyone else watch this story tonight on @nbcbayarea ? @SunnyvaleChief claims he's been "monitoring" the situation for a year while we've been without paramedics? How does Phan Ngo still have a job? @larrykleinsvl @Russ_Melton @omarfdin @CityofSunnyvale

[Gloria Ramirez @GlowRia80]

@SafeSunnyvale @nbcbayarea @SunnyvaleChief @larrykleinsvl @Russ_Melton @omarfdin @CityofSunnyvale I call bs on him monitoring the situation, because if he really was he could not have let it get this bad knowingly. Or maybe he could have. 🤦🏽‍♀️

.@SunnyvaleDPS field crews sounding the alarm. Paramedic/ambulance shortage hitting them worse.
DPS has no paramedics on staff. Only EMT’s.
Sometimes they wait 40 minutes for a paramedic/ambulance.

@newsdamian @SunnyvaleDPS @nbcbayarea @Sunnyvalechief "this is an issue we've been monitoring for a year or so". Uhhhh, you've been monitoring for that long and you still let it get this bad? We pay a high price to live in @CityofSunnyvale, including the chief's very heft paychecks. We deserve better. @SunnyvaleDPS

[Gloria Ramirez @GlowRia80]

@SunnyvaleDPS Wow so the nextdoor posts from neighbors were correct. Not clear on if the suspect is in custody or not. Prayers for the victim. Neighbors were talking about this before you even provided us info.

[SafeSunnyvale @SafeSunnyvale]

We've received reports of a possible shooting on Arbutus Avenue in @CityofSunnyvale @SunnyvaleChief @SunnyvaleDPS @SunnyvalePSOA will you corroborate this information? Will you share any information with our community about this crime? @abc7newsbayarea @KPIXtv @nbcbayarea

[Gloria Ramirez @GlowRia80]

@SafeSunnyvale @CityofSunnyvale @SunnyvaleChief @SunnyvaleDPS @SunnyvalePSOA @abc7newsbayarea @KPIXtv @nbcbayarea My neighbors have been talking about this all day on nextdoor. Didn't think it was true until seeing this post now. It'd be great to get facts from the PD rather than speculation from neighbors.

[Gloria Ramirez @GlowRia80]

@darren_stallcup You are amazing

[Gloria Ramirez @GlowRia80]

@TeresaAv2 And. Not An. Common sense.

@justredpillme You really need a life and a hobby. How dull your life must be.

Hi @SunnyvaleDPS lots of officers including swat officers in our neighborhood, Muender/Pastoria. It's pretty unsettling, lots of chatter on Nextdoor and no direction from you on if we're safe to go outside or should stay indoors. Where can we find information on what is going on?

[Gloria Ramirez @GlowRia80]

@SunnyvalePSOA Why is this the first we're hearing about a staffing shortage and why is there one? We deserve to know.

[Gloria Ramirez @GlowRia80]

@SunnyvaleChief Do just the chief and deputy chiefs have this patch on? Haven't seen one officer with this on. 😂

[Gloria Ramirez @GlowRia80]

@kron4news So sad. Rest in peace.

[Gloria Ramirez @GlowRia80]

@SafeSunnyvale @SunnyvaleChief @SunnyvaleDwtn It's too nice of a day not to fill your community in on the crime impacting us. We don't care about your short sleeves or lunch dates, we want to know what's happening in our city.
