Memorial Day for our fallen, Veterans’ Day for our not-yet-fallen, Flag Day, military spouse appreciation day, and likely several more I’m forgetting.

If you actually want to do something for vets, make politicians stop using us as excuses and scapegoats.

We do. We actually get a few military and military-affiliated months, weeks and days. If you actually cared so much about it that you cried on here, you’d already know.

That being said, here they are (just to name a few offhand): May is military appreciation month. April is month of the military child. November is both veterans month AND military families. We ALSO have the various branches’ birthdays (Nov 10, 1775 being my personal favorite) 1/2

They need to be an ACTIVE parent. Keep baby in the room with them, attach the monitor to their body, put in the effort to come up with solutions. Actually giving a fuck about the kid goes a long way.
