Even if the smash community say its ragebait. It is absolutely more true as majority of these nimrods prefer to cheat the system instead of playing offline/deal with the "crappy" online connection.
Because no one cares about you using it for practice. People care about being in tournament and having to fight someone with an unfair advantage, I don't understand why this is so hard for people to understand
Technically using a mod at a game where the opponent has no mods is basically cheating and majority of the smash online players are some of the biggest cheaters who can't handle a single loss.
@SirDunkTV@SSBM_Arte I agree with this I agree that it is a invaluable tool for offline practice online, there are alot of people who use the delay mod specifically for brackets and elite/QP and there is no way to stop it from happening, in private its fine but in MM online its cheating imo
Understandable however skill issue it is people will go through all the trouble to install the mod and use it for adv and then swear that it's cause the opponent is bad and not cause they went through the trouble of having a frame adv, if it didn't matter why install it?
Hmm I have tied my self worth to winning games on the disfunctional online of a video game due to never accomplishing anything and since I have neither the intelligence and discipline to win nor the wisdom to find fault within myself, I will blame my losses on a mod and harass the dude making things better for everyone for free so I can momentarily feel like I exist and matter
Whoever you are, you make slugs look like advanced life forms
@SSBM_Arte also why certain circuits of comp scenes talk about banning certain controllers cause of unfair adv as well, people only defending this cause vanilla sucks but doesn't change what it is paying for better adv over others, atleast with controllers we still on the same playing field
@SSBM_Arte paying for a basic controller and paying for mods are 2 different things entirely but I see why you wanna say that, one is just a controller for all games the other is a mod that you have to install and pay to install to have adv over other players in that specific game
@ForsetiNE@SSBM_Arte never said anything about elite ive been speaking about general online play but you bring up a good point, people have enough adv to do this as you say "most who play it are using it to implement new things in their play rather than just win" it gives enough adv to f around
@Awesom3lf42 yeah you are right about communities making mods to make the game more enjoyable plenty of examples of that ERSC or HKC but comp games usually have anti cheat to stop modding of online pvp nintendo is just bad at online management and live service updates, its why switch 2 bricks
@SSBM_Arte Saying you should "gracefully accept" modded adv in a fighting game is a wild statement to make, also it's true that if it didn't bring adv people wouldnt spend the extra cost to have it and saying people should pay extra for fair gameplay is outlandish.
The personal attacks are undeserved but this mod has done nothing but make the online more toxic, people use it for advantage and not being something easily accessible to everyone just makes online more trash than it is, people who use it regardless are cheats and need unfair adv
@the_Maafia by no means saying that its deserved, but you don't release a mod that irreversibly changes the online for the game and gives an advantage to anyone using it and expect it not to be abused
now anyone who has a modded switch has an advantage over anyone who doesn't
@Silver_Roxas@RaceCrossWorlds People thinking this build is the problem shows people don't understand what the real issue is, seems like Sega understands it though there is more balancing that needs to be fine before they hit that.
@RaceCrossWorlds I realized crossworlds players commenting are just casuals or have never touched a mmr ranked system before, this is fine and exactly what we needed tbh this is what a skill based matchmaking system looks like that doesn't force you to endless grind to the top like WM does.
