On Monday, I participated in a session at the European Parliament on the Lion and Sun Revolution and the Iran Prosperity Project. The event was organized by the Global Network of Iranian Students (@Gnisofficial) and hosted by Mr. Charlie @weimers of the European Conservatives and Reformists Group (ECR).

I attended the session in my capacity as Coordinator of the Foreign Policy Group of the Iran Prosperity Project (IPP). In addition to discussing EU-Iran relations, the Islamic Republic’s operations against European security, and the European Union’s response with Mr. Weimers and Professor @rosenthal_uri , I spoke about the activities and plans of the Iran Prosperity Project’s Foreign Policy Group.

I emphasized that, for the future of Iran following the overthrow of the Islamic Republic, Iranians have both a popular leader—Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi—and a comprehensive plan for the transition, backed by Iranian scholars and experts.

During the Q&A session, while discussing hostage diplomacy, I took the opportunity to draw attention to the ordeal of Dr. Ahmadreza Jalali and the torture he has endured in the regime’s prison for more than a decade.

I am very grateful to my longtime and dear friend Mr. Weimers, as well as to everyone at the Global Network of Iranian Students, for organizing this valuable event.

The assailant’s motive and any potential affiliations remain unknown. We call for a thorough investigation, including into whether the attack was organized and whether there was any connection to the Islamic Republic.

Police have documented the incident, and the case is under investigation. A photograph of the assailant, taken by local bystanders, has been provided to the police. For security reasons, we are not releasing the image publicly.
