With the 1.20 update, I know a lot of people felt "underwhelmed", but think about it. Instead of being shown art which caused people to jump to conclusions (birch forest), or told about things that they are "thinking about adding", instead the people at @Mojang told us what

Or the ability to create rainbow wool/beds, something of which players with mods/addons have already been able to do. Or, avatar expressions, like the ability to wave or dance or blow a kiss. I know those are already available in mods, but it would be nice in Vanilla as well.
