A lot of people on CT talk a big game with little to show for it.
I make my fair share of mistakes, but I'm better than your average 🐻, and I got the proof of work👇.
A) $700 -> $264K on $MSTR calls
B) Nailed the bottom on $GBTC
https://t.co/6dEn6RQ9X2
@dylanleclair I bot some $GBTC on Friday. It's a gamble, but couldn't resist the chance to get some 🌽 at <$10K/coin. If we get a chance to redeem, it's going straight to 🧊 storage.
@BigBlockVette69@CGasparino@grahamformaine It’s not my party 🤷♂️.
I’m a legit swing voter with a voting record to prove it (Johnson ‘16, Biden ‘20, Trump ‘24)
I don’t vote for a party. I vote for a candidate and his or her platform.
Alone, none. But,
A) With a majority of the house and 60 senators on board, they could start impeaching everyone in the justice department holding back the remaining files.
B) With dem control of the senate and support from the party, he could open oversight investigations into the justice department for violations of the Epstein Transparency Act.
@8f5ab48462e0479@CGasparino@grahamformaine LOL. Platner is campaigning hard on releasing the Epstein Files - and it is working.
His Pro-2A and anti-Epstein Class positions are reaching disaffected Trump voters in Maine.
It's not that people WANT to ally w/ left populists.
It's that joining w/ left populists is the only way to build a large enough coalition to get the Epstein Files released and force the neocons/zionists out of gov (i.e. drain the swamp).
For many voters, this is a higher priority than communism vs capitalism.
If the GOP took charge, booted the neocons out, released the Epstein Files, and destroyed the deep state, then it would take this off the table. But, for now, it looks like the GOP insists on being the Israel First party, even if it costs them votes.
@RoKhanna@BernieSanders Sigh, the left’s fixation with Elon and other founders is a major liability.
Elon & co are a huge asset for us.
The bankers, hedge funds, pharma, big ag, etc (the ones who buy off congress to pass rigged rules and get bailouts b/c they’re “too big to fail”) are the parasites.
Arabs and Jews are treated equally under the law in Israel. In a binational Arab-majority state, however, Jews would be massacred and exiled as they have been from virtually every Islamic nation (and this is the goal of its champions.) The notion that "Palestinians" would embrace a multi-ethic nation and liberal principles is so preposterous that no intelligent person could ever believe it.
@BitPaine Ahh, I see you’re starting to understand the pickle…
Trump can make peace and nuke the shorts, but it comes at the cost of conceding to Iran and putting the boot down on Israel HARD.
Or, he can keep fighting Israel’s war for them, but it will mean a market crash & depression..
If "moderate" democrats are abandoning Platner because Platner appeals too much to Trump voters, then they're hardly "moderate" (which implies a willingness to work across the aisle) - they're just "establishment" democrats.
And, yes, if the Dem establishment thinks they've got more in common with the GOP establishment than they do with the working class, then they should vote for Collins 🤷♂️. Populists already accuse them of being a "uniparty." We'll see which tent is bigger - populist or establishemtn.
If you live in LA, this result isn't that surprising 🤷♂️.
Nithya got the vote from people who don't like Karen Bass (for obvious reasons) but will never vote for the GOP (a lot of never-GOP voters in LA).
She didn't need name ID or a real campaign, just being "the democrat who's not Karen" is enough.
LOL, the delusional one is you.
Platner currently has the best odds a democrat has had in 18 years to take the Maine seat - even after the hit piece from NYT.
If his own party's establishment stopped attacking him and started supporting him, it would likely be a cake walk. Although that's a mixed blessing, since a lot of Platner supporters are drawn to him BECAUSE the old guard hates him.
@mandyarthur@RoKhanna Sigh, today Ro voted to send more money to Ukraine. I fear he's not as anti-war as he presents himself.
That war is unwinnable and a meat grinder. We are sending Ukrainians to their deaths in a doomed effort and spending money we need at home.
But, the dem MIC likes that war...
@JohnBirke32@RonBrownstein@SenSanders@SenWarren@RoKhanna LOL, I never said my vote will have any impact at all.
You called me a progressive. I was simply correcting you.
Likewise, Twitter is far from my only news source.
You make a lot of assumptions without knowing jack shit - a surefire sign of low intellect in my experience.
@JohnBirke32@RonBrownstein@SenSanders@SenWarren@RoKhanna A) I’m. I’m not a progressive. I’m a swing voter with a voting record to prove it.
B) Establishment dems said the same thing in 2020 about Gideon and she lost. Young swing voters HATE the dem establishment (that’s why Dems approval is in the gutter even as Trump tanks)
@Ifdn2026@RonBrownstein@SenSanders@SenWarren@RoKhanna LOL, I'm not a progressive. I'm an actual swing voter with a voting track record to prove it.
And, yes, Platner's position on Israel does appeal strongly to independent and GOP populists (especially the young ones).
It's a position that will grow the tent for the dems.
@RealPData The (mostly young) voters that want the Epstein Files released HATE Blanche, but the GOP has probably already lost those voters anyway 🤷♂️.
For the people still supporting Trump, Blanche probably covers all the bases.
Megyn's views are shifting with her audience. That's what people want - commentators who are open to changing their minds as the facts do.
That's why Megyn's and Tucker's numbers are strong while the Daily Wire is crumbling.
If the GOP wants to win elections, they'll need to shift their policy to match the voters too, or they'll go back to being the losers they were in the Romney/Mccain era.
