Mistah Fab is tryin to say that Pac had ghostwriters early in his career? I’m from the Bay and never been a big fan of dude but he tweakin hard sayin that shit. Just looked at his IG and he on some weirdo shit
I think i might’ve converted after tonight. I think i really might make the dedicated shift from Canon to Sony. It performed well tonight and better than what i expected
Push phantom boats write ransom notes/take down a gazelle lasso an antelope/split ya fruit carve the meat outta ya cantaloupe/every pocket increase wit every stanza wrote - The Alchemist
I don’t know why rappers that change their name expect rap fans to call them by their new names. You had the same name for the majority of your career and that’s what ima call’em
That’s fair, but people forget that The Crow was already tracking well before Brandon died. Plus, he was coming off the success of Rapid Fire which opened at #1 at the box office. There was gonna be a sequel to that one but the script ended up turning into Die Hard 3.
His star was clearly rising. If The Crow hit the way many expected it to, it would’ve given him even more leverage to be selective with scripts and start branching into the dramatic roles he was interested in.
Damn i ain’t lnow any of that. I just figured he’d had to put in more work cuz it’s hard to judge how successful ‘The Crow’ actually would’ve been had he not died on set cuz that did help create the cult following.
Absolutely. He actually studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute because he wanted to expand beyond martial arts and action roles. A lot of people don’t realize he was actively pursuing more dramatic work.
The script for The Little Things had been circulating around Hollywood since the early 90s, and Brandon was reportedly one of the actors who read it and was interested in being involved. That’s a big clue that he was looking at a very different career path than people assume.

I didn’t know he wanted to do more serious roles. I knew about the Johnny Cage possibility there were a few names for that role. I could see him getting some Keanu roles.
Brandon was already planning on moving toward more serious dramatic roles after The Crow, so I don’t think a Jackie Chan team-up was all that likely in that decade. He was even being considered for Johnny Cage, and based on where Hollywood was headed in the ‘90s, it’s easy to see him landing some of the action-drama roles that eventually went to Keanu Reeves.
He would’ve had a career but i don’t think it would’ve been huge like that. I feel like he would’ve had a run like Jet-Li from Black Mask to like the mid 2000s. I also feel like he would’ve worked with Jackie Chan just cuz there’s already some history there between Bruce & Jackie
@Nuecents37 All that “sex, drugs and rock & roll” “live fast die young” approach to it plays a role into it subconsciously. Rap personas are different and since the lyrics are more direct rap fans tend to respond with the same energy. Also it’s cool to talk shit in rap part of the territory
I’ll tweet aboit the 90s then aboit the 2020s then about the 2000s. I’m not going an entire day without hearing a rap song from those eras and same goes for the 80s.
This album is ridiculously slept on. 8Ball & MJG are easily top 10 and the second greatest rap duo behind Mobb Deep to me. Ball & G’s solo albums are also slept on.
Obviously the piracy’s a problem but the irony is niggas whole album ain’t even worth buyin b/it’s the artists who are artist that suffer talkin real rap niggas not then ringtone mothafuckas
