Put a baseball player in any sport and he will compete
Put an athlete from any other sport into baseball and they aren’t able to compete
Systems engineering knowledge**
You can translate “code speak” into Laymans terms and pretty much solve any issue. Things like race conditions, etc.. but having a good systems, architectural knowledge is what will allow most people to vibe code. But then it’s just developing.
The hate boomers get is insane.
People stepping over a homeless guy not giving a fuck expecting me to believe they would have not hoarded wealth bought houses and not shared?
After years of seeing lead forms and funnels.. I think I understand what it’s like to be a 10/10 hottie.
Was lead forms you get so much junk it’s insane. Everybody fills your form out. And you really have to do your best to filter out all the junk.
Dimes are like lead forms with a decent offer. Everybody wants a shot.
Somewhere we decided animals are owed a life free of discomfort. Nobody’s owed that. Not the horse, not the dog, not you.
A working animal that’s fed, housed, and sound isn’t a victim. It’s just an animal with a job
My dad had a dog growing up. Slept outside. Ate table scraps. Got played with every day and was, by every measure, a loved dog.
Nobody was checking the pavement temperature. Nobody had a vet on retainer.
He was probably just as happy as the ones in strollers.
Empathy behaves like it’s finite.
Every year we extend more of it to animals and less of it to each other. My dad’s dog slept outside on table scraps and was a happy dog. Now dogs have anxiety medication and people have nobody to call.
We’ve decided horses can’t work above 90 degrees and dogs get birthday parties.
Meanwhile people will step over a guy on the sidewalk to get to brunch.
Not saying be worse to animals. Just noticing where the empathy went.
Half this job is structuring the deal. The other half is letting Evan translate it back to me in a language he misses.
“So directionally we’re at a 3.5x, SOFR plus three, 50% LTV against adjusted EBITDA”
Yes Evan. Great way to put it… Perfect description of a 200k credit line for a sub-middle market plumbing company doing $4M a year.
