We all know why.

He was tortured badly by the judiciary.

A father who wanted visitation and access to his 2-year-old child, to have the love and affection of his own kid.

A man who worked as an AI engineer was forced to travel 1,500 km to Jaunpur for court hearings.

He moved an application for video conferencing so that he could attend and argue his case.

At the same time, because he was being harassed by the court environment at Jaunpur, he pleaded for an opportunity to appear and argue in person.

The VC application was kept under the table for several months , and at last we lost him, but the application was still pending.

Why?

Just to harass him?

What kind of justice system makes a father travel 1,500 km just to stand before a court?

What kind of system keeps a simple VC application pending for months while the litigant continues to suffer?

The VC facility not being given is itself a serious issue.

And what about the lawyers who were expected to do what was required?

When the system fails a litigant, and the people who are supposed to help him also fail him, what is left for that man?

A man is eventually forced to take his case into his own hands.

This is not justice.

This is a system where the case file continues to move while the human being behind it is slowly destroyed.

Courts have powers.

Lawyers have responsibilities.

Judges have authority.

But a litigant has only one life.

Atul Subhash was not a case number.

He was not a file.

He was not a hearing date.

He was a father who wanted to see his child.

He was a son.

He was an AI engineer.

He was a human being.

And when a person comes to the justice system asking to be heard, the system cannot keep pushing him from one hearing to another and then wash its hands of the consequences.

The judiciary must answer.

The lawyers must answer.

The entire system must answer.

Because justice is not just about passing orders.

It is also about not destroying the person who comes to your door seeking justice.
