@NickCRadio For the circumstances, Howie played his cards well. And this deal was only as good as it was because he’s the GM for however long he wants - most other GMs probably get the 2027 second, Howie gets a 1 because he has job security thanks to being a great GM
@FBallAnalysisYT I think it would be fairly disappointing if he doesn’t have at least 1.300 yards in 2026 considering all of the talk about this trade and Browns fit in NE.
@DianteLeeFB I’m NGL, Henry and Boutte don’t move me here.
AJ Brown is more than good enough on his own to give me confidence Maye will be great tho. Just don’t really see this WR/TE room as being as deep as it’s seemed
@daniel_rotman15 There was 0 chance the Eagles were getting a 1 and a 2 if they weren’t sending something back, anyone who said that does know ball.
Same as Pats fans saying they wouldn’t trade a 1 for Brown.
This deal is good for both teams, don’t think it’s unfair at all for either side
Baseless Trade Guess: the Eagles trade AJ to the Patriots for a 28 1st and a Day 3 pick, then send both of their 28 1sts plus Nolan Smith to the Browns for Myles Garrett…
@BaseballWRLD_ As a Phillies fan I was always so frustrated since his fastball never had any movement, just a straight line like a pitching machine. This kind of outing doesn’t surprise me at all lmao
@yaboi_Nitz69@daniel_rotman15 Part of me thinks this levered game has already played out and that the Patriots already “won” the trade war between Pats, Rams, and others.
For the Pats to get Brown on a reasonable contract for 27-28 is well worth a 1st plus more. Maye is cheap and young, time is now
@yaboi_Nitz69@daniel_rotman15 This was my thought as well.
2028 1st rounder
2027 3rd that can become a 2 if Brown hits a certain incentive.
Pats keep their 2027 1 (which I’d be stunned if they gave up), while Philly gets back a 1 and assets in 2027.
@JudeUTH Feel like Ranger Suarez would work here. Got decent stuff and is a postseason god.
I think *prime* Zach Eflin might work as well though that might be a bit too far of a stretch
@nfldraftscout This is the new meta in the NFL, however. Build the team before the QB gets there.
See if Shedeur is actually good (likely not), take a good QB in R1 in ‘27.
The pieces are mostly there already for a QB, much better than previous roster building plans
@CarlBradley737@jakerosenberg33 I wonder if since Philly wasn’t on the clock initially that this is just bad luck and doesn’t turn into actual punishment.
They didn’t break any rules until Philly traded up, which they couldn’t predict.
Don’t think it’s worth docking a pick
