The SE Sandy Boulevard at 11th Avenue & Ankeny Street intersection just got a makeover thanks to the Central Eastside Access and Circulation project.
This project is designed to make it more comfortable for people walking & biking to cross SE Sandy Boulevard at Ankeny and 11th.
Here are the potential impacts this week's heat wave could have on train and bus service.
Silver lining: Thanks to recent work, MAX and WES will be more resistant to high heat than in the past.
Be prepared for the heat and stay well-hydrated. Stay cool and learn about riding during extreme heat at https://t.co/C7VIgyYa5N.
It's a great weekend to consider staying close to home. Delay travel if you can. If you are using city streets to detour, drive the speed limit and watch for pedestrians and people on bikes. Be mindful that you are traveling through neighborhoods. #PDXTraffic

⚠️ Heads up ⚠️
🔴 MAX Red Line trains will be disrupted between Gateway Transit Center and Portland International Airport from 7:30 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. on June 16-21.
Shuttle buses will be running about every 10 minutes. We encourage you to plan up to an extra 30 minutes for your trips. MAX Blue, Green, Orange and Yellow Line trains will operate on their regular schedules.
The disruption will allow us to test our MAX Type 6 trains along a section of the MAX Red Line before they go into service.
Come on out for some #lloydlove tomorrow morning!
Let's join @EcoLloyd and @SOLVEinOregon for a Holladay Park cleanup at 9 am. Help keep this #pdx gem clean and safe for everyone to enjoy.
