@underverse @samknight1 There is almost no amount of assets someone in the 99+% can have to make them financially secure if we don’t take care of people when they get sick, old, or hit a rough patch. My point is that the rugged individualism for the poor is the premise we should reject.

@samknight1 The numbers he states would be more okay if we couldn’t all go medically bankrupt in an instant. Bigger problem than personal finances is the safety net is full of holes and being ripped apart for scrap string by corporations, imo.

@samknight1 I think his point was that PTP makes it sound like the median person is much more poor than they actually are. I would say that the median American is working their ass off and not getting ahead so who cares?
