What an honor to guide this group of six intrepid @atlasobscura explorers for a week through the Peruvian Amazon. (Want to join us for the next @atlasobscura x @scifari trip in Peru? Still space available for our September trip!)
Is it just us or do caimans always look like they're up to no good? Like a teenager you caught sneaking out of the house at night. (π·: @jgold85) #aotrips#Scifari#wildlife#Tambopata
With only around 150 giant otters left in Peru (thanks to the fur trade) any time spent with these magnificent endangered creatures is really special. #aotrips#Scifari#wildlifewednesday#Tambopata (π·: @jgold85)

Cold and rain won't stop us from hiking up a mountain and gazing upon millions of monarch #butterflies fluttering among the ancient oyamel fir trees! (Luckily, our hotel rooms have wood-burning fireplaces!) #aotrips#Scifari#monarchbutterfly#visitmexico
Two more months until our first tours of 2020 kick off! We start out with an @atlasobscura collaboration to the mountains of Mexico where millions of monarch butterflies spend their winter.
Still a few spots to travel alongside biologists to see the greatest show on Earth. March 2020 in Tambopata, Peru! Another @GoScifari@atlasobscura collaboration! https://t.co/TAw2UN6Zzz https://t.co/FwvBU7r87K
