His Tesla EV drove him through deep flood waters off road, and his solar and batteries powered his home after a Hurriciane ~last year for several days.

My entire house house is electric, water heater, HVAC, cooking, and EV car, and I have tons of solar, and batteries, and it all works, for free, actually the utility owes me about $90 a month for the excess electricity that I make. I can go off grid, and I am ready for anything nature can serve up.

Today is my 2-year Leaving MAGA-versary. Leaving set into motion positively life-altering changes in my life that have proven to be completely unexpected and unlikely; truth is, when I left MAGA---and emancipated myself from the manacles of the toxic MAGA community---I never thought anyone would care. That so many do care is a testament not to me, but to the necessity and grace of redemption; and, to the forgiving nature of my fellow countrymen and women.

I founded Leaving MAGA to provide a new community for those who leave; and, for those experiencing some of the confusion, doubts and remorse I felt. It took me an entire year to leave MAGA; it is an arduous process to endure, but it will bring an inner-peace that is more experiential than explicable.

And, I want to implore all of you with friends and family in the thrall of MAGA: please do not lose hope, and do not give up on them. If there is anything instructional I can offer, it's that we can change our minds, and acknowledge grave mistakes.

PS: For those who are unaware, I am a co-chair of the Republicans for Harris FL team; yes, MAGA will remain past Nov., and there is much work ahead of us. But it is time to put Donald Trump in America's rearview mirror. I will vote only Democratic in Nov.; the GOP must be mercy-killed, because it is an irreparably damaged party. I owe it to the country to make amends for my past actions and rhetoric.

Here's to many, many more Leaving MAGA-versaries---not just for myself, but the millions of others who, I believe, will eventually leave, and tell their stories; find reconciliation with their friends and family; and, lead the movement to empower others to leave.
