Slowing American innovation will not give graduates a labor market without AI. It will give them AI systems shaped elsewhere — most likely in China.

The Satanists who murdered the Romanov family were led by Yakov Yurovsky, a member of the Bolshevik Cheka secret police.
Yurovsky supervised the murders. He read the death sentence, selected the executioners from among local Cheka and other Bolshevik personnel, distributed the weapons, and oversaw the actual murders.
He then directed disposal of the bodies to be mutilated, burned, and hidden in a forest. He reported personally to Lenin, who rewarded him with a position in the Moscow Cheka.
Vladimir Putin reveres the Cheka. He celebrates its founding every December 20. He rehabilitated Cheka founder Feliks Dzerzhinsky and earlier this year renamed the FSB academy after him. He calls himself a Chekist.
Alexandr Dugin calls himself a National Bolshevik and envisions a Eurasian empire with a Cheka-style political police.
Go big or go home. What a stud. These are the shoulders of giants we stand upon. He could have whined and claimed he was "disenfranchised" but no he signs the Declaration of Independence with his home address. The equivalent of Cortes burning his ships, the wealthiest man in America personally declares war against the Crown for Liberty. These are men worth honoring and remembering.

I'll endeavor to save you from your suicidal empathy. Thank God, the American Founding Fathers understood how to protect rights. America's First Amendment of the Constitution, (Free Speech, Assembly and Religion) are guaranteed by an armed populace codified in the Second Amendment for all citizens, not based on niche religious exceptions. An armed British citizenry would have prevented much of this insanity already. Including the ongoing foreign invasion. Russia is not the UK's biggest threat, incompatible immigration is.
THE CCP DOESN’T NEED TO HACK AMERICA IF IT CAN INFILTRATE THE INSTITUTIONS SHAPING ITS FUTURE.

At some point in time the Democrats may finally realize that play-acting as a straight white man with a normal testosterone level is not the same thing as actually being a straight white man with a normal testosterone level, and all straight white man with a normal testosterone level are instantly able to tell the difference.
Thank you to all of you for your support as I report on the frontlines of the cognitive warfare that adversaries of America are waging on the country.
There are a few lessons that I'd like to share with you from this video that's getting amusing hate-views from Hasan Piker's loyal fanboys.
In my career, I have faced off against terrorists, militants and murderers. Witnessing the tactics and misogyny of a militia of internet fanboys is bemusing to say the least.
As I cared for my father, 93, in the hospital, I caught Hasan Piker speaking about American Marxist Neville Roy Singham, living in China, funding a "political movement" that has put America in its crosshairs.
We were waiting for a nurse to help us with discharge, and my dad was resting.
As an investigative journalist, I know that what is most important is documentation, receipts and first-hand information.
It's been my mission for 20 years since 9/11 to not miss a beat in a warfare that national security experts call non-kinetic and cognitive -- in a war for our brains -- that seeks to capture the minds of youth. I will use all tools available to make sure that I always have the receipts.
Including filming with my phone as I navigate my responsibilities to my beloved nation and my beloved family!
In this world, this is one lesson: nothing will be perfect.
We can't alway access software for screen recording, transcription services for transcripts or sophisticated AI programs for data analysis. We won't always look good, get our words right or sing on tune.
But our duty is to show up.
This is my lesson for all of you: being mission-driven, whatever it is, means being scrappy, nimble and diligent.
It means being persistent even in the face of slings and arrows.
I'm told that some of Hasan Piker's followers are even juveniles under the age of even 13. Most followers are young males.
It sure seems like that in their childish antics.
I explained Hasan Piker's Marxist worldview to my father, who has witnessed World War II, British colonialism and the American civil rights movement. He marched with Gandhi to literally fight "settler colonialism."
My dad shook his head, politely, smiling, at the naivete of anyone believing that Marxism is anything but a failed system that is its own autocracy on freedoms. We all know that there are challenges with free enterprise systems but Marxism and communism are not the solutions ideologues pretend they can be -- because even in their communist nations they exploit, hoard and divide people into haves and have-nots.
For me, be certain that the childish tactics of ridicule, curses and spamming that I'm witnessing by Hasan Piker fanboys to try to distract me from my reporting are ones I have long seen by the Islamist groups that I have challenged for years as a Muslim feminist fighting for women's rights.
It's youth claiming to be leftists, but really they illustrate a peculiar understanding of liberalism with their use of these beloved words of misogyny in their messages to me: "cunt," "whore," "slut," "bitch," "psycho."
I experienced the same with Islamists who have aligned with the communists to try to destroy civil society.
Remember this: I was put on trial at my mosque in West Virginia for daring to walk through the front door instead of a back door for women, and I didn't surrender.
I hunted for a decade the men who kidnapped and murdered my friend Danny Pearl, and I named every single one of them without fear or favor.
My North Star is truth-telling so that we can fully understand the operations, infrastructures, businesses and machines that produce propaganda and create systems that adversaries deploy to divide people, foment hate and stoke violence of the nature that motivated a cell of men in Karachi, Pakistan, to murder my friend.
I can see indoctrination and propaganda, and America is facing an industry that is attempting to indoctrinate our youth with toxic, divisive, hateful ideas.
I will use every tool available to me, raw or sophisticated -- most importantly my feet for pounding the pavement, my fingertips for holding pens, phones and microphones and my voice for asking the questions that need to be asked.
The goal is one: truth-telling.
Along with being a journalist, I'm a mother. And I wish growth, critical thought and freedom from toxicity and dangerous ideas for the young fanboys who are now in my orbit.
Welcome to my young new fans. I will always support you through your growth in this world.
Asra
Is the ongoing radicalism found in universities proof that "wokeness" remains, or is it the predominantly *liberal* professoriate's desperate attempt to absolve themselves of their *leftist* students' resentment?
I argue the latter in my new essay for @MindingCampus.

Not many people know about the head of the USSR's secret police under Stalin, Lavrentiy Beria
One of the most brutal men in history, he ordered massacres of Poles, torture of dissdents, and millions of murders of Christians
Beria was known to drive around Moscow and point at women and young girls on the street. They were then brought to him by his secret police to be raped, no matter their ages. This even included famous actresses. If they refused, they were tortured in his basement
After Stalin's death, Beria was arrested by Marshall Zhukov and executed as Khrushchev took power
After the fall of the USSR, workers discovered skeletons of young girls in his backyard that had been buried naked, their bodies doused with chemicals. This discovery included the skulls of children
The Soviet whaling fleet killed 180,000 whales between 1948 and 1973, delivering rotten carcasses that nobody wanted to eat. Soviet citizens had zero demand for whale meat. The ships hunted anyway, fulfilling quotas handed down from central planners who counted tons of dead whale as economic output.
This was bureaucratic box-checking that nearly drove multiple whale species to extinction. Soviet whalers targeted endangered right whales and humpbacks specifically because they were larger, helping them hit tonnage targets faster. The meat rotted on deck during long voyages back to port, where officials dutifully recorded the numbers and sent reports to Moscow declaring another successful harvest.
Central planners measured success in tons harvested, not consumer satisfaction or long-term sustainability. Factory managers got promoted for exceeding whale quotas, regardless of whether anyone actually wanted whale meat (they didn't). The feedback mechanism that normally connects production to human needs had been severed entirely. When bureaucrats replace market prices with administrative targets, you get mass slaughter with zero purpose.
You still see this today every time politicians promise to "create jobs" in industries that lose money year after year. When government agencies measure their success by dollars spent rather than problems solved. When university administrators chase enrollment numbers instead of student outcomes.
Remove the profit motive and price signals, and you get 180,000 dead whales rotting in the sun while commissars celebrate meeting their targets. You don't get rational planning.
Socialism is fundamentally destructive to the environment and inevitably leads to ecological disasters.
Forget Nero. Forget Caligula.
The worst Roman emperor in history was a 19 year old who thought he was the reincarnation of Hercules. If you saw the movie Gladiator, you know him as Joaquin Phoenix's character. His real name was Commodus, and the reason his story is so dark is that his father was Marcus Aurelius, the philosopher king who wrote the Meditations.
When Marcus died in 180 AD, Commodus inherited the most powerful empire the world had ever seen. He immediately abandoned his father's wars on the German frontier, made a humiliating peace, and rode back to Rome to play.
He fought in the Colosseum 735 times. He won every match, because his opponents fought him with wooden swords while he used a real one. The Senate was forced to pay him a million sesterces every time he stepped into the arena.
He once gathered men who had lost their feet to accident or disease, dressed them from the knees down as serpentine giants, handed them sponges to throw at him as "rocks," and clubbed them to death in front of the Roman public for sport.
On another day, he decapitated an ostrich in the arena, walked up to the senators in the front row, and held the bloody head up at them with a smile. The historian Cassius Dio was sitting there that day. He writes that the senators chewed on the laurel leaves from their crowns to hide their hysterical, terrified laughter, because they understood the head was a promise.
He renamed the city of Rome itself "Colonia Commodiana." Colony of Commodus.
He renamed all twelve months of the year after his own twelve titles.
He declared himself a living god, dressed publicly in a lion skin, carried a wooden club, and demanded to be addressed as Hercules, son of Zeus.
His own sister Lucilla tried to have him assassinated. He survived and had her executed. His wife Crispina was exiled to an island and quietly killed. His chamberlain Cleander began openly selling senate seats and consulships for cash. In one year, twenty five different men were appointed consul.
On New Year's Eve, 192 AD, his mistress Marcia found her own name on his execution list for the next morning. She poisoned his wine. He vomited it up. So she sent in his personal wrestling coach, a man named Narcissus, who strangled him to death in his bath.
The very next year, the imperial throne of Rome was literally auctioned off to the highest bidder by the Praetorian Guard. Five different men claimed the title of emperor in twelve months. Civil war never really stopped after that.
Edward Gibbon, who wrote the definitive history of Rome's collapse, opens his entire 3000 page book with the death of Marcus Aurelius and the rise of his son.
The Roman Empire would limp on for another 284 years in the west before it finally fell.
But the Pax Romana, the longest stretch of peace and prosperity the ancient world had ever known, died on the German frontier with Marcus Aurelius.
His son made sure of it.
“WE’RE WATCHING SOCIETY FOLD IN REAL TIME”
@JMichaelWaller warned America is being “subverted from within,” arguing extremist ideologies, foreign influence operations, and Antifa are fueling “real violent hate” and tearing the country apart from the inside.

My colleagues and I at the Oversight Project @ItsYourGov are ready to serve.
When my grandfather, born to former slaves in Camp Nelson, found himself alone at 13, he left home to journey north for work. It was a Kentucky winter during segregation, and the barn he found was the only shelter he had.
Kentucky was one of the more violent states in the union, and when the white son of the farmer who owned the barn discovered him, my grandfather did not know if he would be fed, ran off, or beaten.
Instead, the boy, also 13, began secretly bringing him food every night. They formed a friendship.
Eventually, time came for my grandfather to move on and he went to Detroit and then to Chicago, where he worked, raised a family, and joined the Civil Rights movement.
Years later, as he approached retirement, he realized he had no proof of his age. So he packed my father into the car and drove from Chicago back to that farm in Kentucky. After a day on the road, they parked and walked down a long driveway toward the farmhouse where an old white man sat on the porch. The man squinted at my grandfather and said, “Is that you?” My father watched as the two men hugged for a long time.
They all drove to the courthouse where the old man vouched for my grandfather who finally got the papers that he needed to retire.
