@islanders_takes Most clauses in any contract are to be used as leverage. That's why only top end players get to have NTC in the first place. When you earn your way and contribute, you get to have some bit of control over your future where usually in leagues you get zero say in your own job.
@drew_downs@saddymayo True for when starting out, but the "upfront costs" build on each other to expand your options every time you purchase just one of them. So with any planning at all, it gradually becomes way more important to look at per meal cost.
@Cory_Tucek I would just say no thanks and keep moving, especially if i were in a rush.
Charities worth giving to are not using high pressure tactics at the store.
@Stuck_envelope@Hawkstradamus@NoContextHumans Relative to fighting on solid ground this is absolutely true. The stability to plant yourself and drive through your legs on ice skates is just not good enough. They drive a majority of force through upper body which does make punches less impactful.
Not that it's "safe" though.
@TheCanadian19 The most reasonable argument against your point is that certain jobs are predominately for young people living with their parents who just want disposible income and resume building.
Inflating the cost of that position to a business often means that position goes away entirely.
@CptJackKnob@TheBabylonBee People complain the game takes forever but it takes forever because everyone plays with this free parking house rule that cycles money back to players and makes the game take forever.
@realmaddox Curious as to how this compares with the general population. Chris Hanson showed pretty disturbingly that these people are commonplace.
He once commented tht he expected nobody would show up to the house, but ended up having the problem that multiple people would show up at once
@mccolgzAmc@CauseILoveTruth 90% of people source their opinions entirely from whatever the announcers are saying.
Fights like this that are more competitive than expected always get hype treatment from announcers who are doing more story building than competent fight scoring.
