Dr. Adadevoh said No. Despite intense pressure, she refused to discharge him, physically keeping him quarantined to protect the public. Because of her bravery, Nigeria contained the virus quickly. Sadly, she contracted Ebola herself and passed away. She is quite literally the reason a generation stayed safe.

She was an obstetrician-gynecologist (OB/GYN) resident before her passing.
She gave birth at Niger Delta University Teaching Hospital, but developed complications shortly after delivery.
She was transferred to Federal Medical Centre Yenagoa, where she was admitted to the ICU and managed by a team of specialists.
Despite intensive efforts, she passed away in the early hours of April 14, 2026.
