Acuff may be my favorite for ROY because of how good of an isolation creator he is.
Isolation is a paramount skill. Brunson leading the playoffs in iso PPG with a 51 FG% is a big reason why the Knicks are champions.
The exciting thing is that Acuff is an even better passer.
SOURCES: With Dusty May departing Michigan Wolverines to become the head coach of the Dallas Mavericks, early indications are that Michigan has identified Greg Gard as one of several candidates of interest.
While those familiar with the situation continue to label the possibility as a longshot, Michigan personnel are said to believe Gard’s player development, culture-building, and track record of success at Wisconsin could translate into championship-level results with the Wolverines’ financial resources and NIL infrastructure.
At this stage, no formal contact is believed to have been made, but sources say Gard’s name is one to monitor if Michigan expands its search in the coming days.
Following this postseason, I feel there has been a lot of mis-evaluation regarding which players get labeled as “risers” and “droppers.”
So, I decided to track player averages in the what I consider the most important measure of playoff performance:
Closeout Games.
My 3rd annual NBA Draft Guide.
For the 2026 draft class, I have
60 single-page scouting reports
elevator pitches on the 61-75th players on my board
4 takes on the class
my draft philosophy
where I stand among the consensus.
Here's a preview with my full top-75 big board and with 2 scouting reports for a preview:
It's been amazing to see how this project and process has grown since I started this in 2024. Whether you read 1 profile, a few, a dozen, or all of them — I appreciate your time. Open to all feedback.
Can't wait to see this class in the league, it can be special

Draymond Green says NBA GMs are "pretty dumb"
"GMs ain't the smartest. No, not at all actually most of them are pretty dumb"
"It's analytical. They want to see you hit a hundred threes. they don't see it in a five-on-five. Your greatest value is to put you on the court and let you dominate, and I don't see that in a draft workout"
"I fell in the draft because they said: he's too short to be a four, he's too slow to be a three so what position is he gonna guard? We don't know"
"You always hear me talk about how smart the basketball minds are. I don't think they're very smart"
NBA Draft analysis is the most fun job in the world because it’s basketball, investing, psychology, statistics, film study, biomechanics, medicine, and market theory all smashed together.
You’re studying handle, touch, defensive processing, wingspan, frame, vertical pop, injury history, character, and team context — all to answer the question:
Will a billionaire regret investing $40M in this 20-year-old in 2029?
Down 12 with 6:45 left in Game 2, Mitch Johnson pulled Stephon Castle.
He came back with 30 seconds left. The score was tied.
That on/off split hides a deeper problem - and it shows up on film.

📽️ Why the Knicks' viral “beautiful game” play is actually a perfect encapsulation of the incredible tactics and high-level chess match that have defined the Finals

Maybe my favorite moment of the series so far.
Rick Brunson was the only Knicks coach to walk over during an altercation in front of the Spurs bench.
But it wasn't to protect his son. He just had to make sure he told De'Aaron Fox he ain't tough lol.
