IPOB Denies Military Claims of Arresting ESN "Explosives Experts" in Abia State
IPOB has dismissed as false and misleading claims by the Nigerian Army and DSS that troops arrested suspected ESN "explosives experts" in Umuene, Isiala Ngwa South, Abia State.
In a statement on July 13, 2026, the group denied any arrests of its members, described the reports as recycled propaganda, and challenged the military to provide verifiable evidence and allow independent investigations.
IPOB maintains ESN is a community defense network formed to protect Biafraland from herdsmen attacks.

THE RESCUE OF THE OYO SCHOOL CHILDREN: THE HEROISM OF OUR SECURITY FORCES DESERVES APPLAUSE—BUT GOVERNOR MAKINDE’S ALLEGATION OF POLITICAL MOTIVE MUST NOT BE SWEPT UNDER THE CARPET
Nigeria’s political landscape demands constant vigilance and measured reflection. Every major security incident must be examined beyond its immediate outcome, particularly against the backdrop of our nation’s painful history, where the rescue of kidnapped victims, especially in parts of Northern Nigeria, has, on several occasions, been shadowed by allegations of ransom payments, whether by governments, families, or other intermediaries.
It was, therefore, profoundly relieving to witness the safe rescue and reunion of the abducted school children and their teachers with their respective families. The joy of seeing these innocent victims breathe the air of freedom once again cannot be overstated. Their rescue is a welcome reminder that hope still survives amidst despair.
Yet, one cannot help but ponder the psychological scars these innocent children may carry. What thoughts now occupy their young minds? What wrong did we commit to deserve such cruelty? Is the classroom still a place of hope or has it become a theatre of fear? Should we ever return to that school? These are not rhetorical questions for public sympathy alone; they are sobering reminders of the human cost of insecurity.
I must, therefore, most respectfully commend the gallant officers and men of the combined security forces who executed this highly successful rescue operation under the coordinating command of Major General Chinedu Ralph Nnebeife - the General officer commanding ( GOC) of the 2 Division of the Nigeria Army Ibadan Their professionalism, courage and tactical coordination deserve the appreciation of every patriotic Nigerian.
The operation reinforces an important truth: insecurity in Nigeria is not an insurmountable challenge. Whenever our security agencies are adequately coordinated, intelligence-driven and insulated from internal sabotage, remarkable results inevitably follow. If this level of operational effectiveness can be replicated consistently, there is no reason vast portions of Northern Nigeria should remain under the suffocating grip of terrorists and criminal gangs.
However, as this significant victory against terrorism is celebrated , another issue of grave national importance has emerged; one that deserves equal attention.
Governor Seyi Makinde has called for international human rights and accountability mechanisms, including the involvement of the United Nations, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the abduction, particularly his allegation that the incident was politically motivated.
This is no ordinary political rhetoric to be dismissed with the customary wave of the hand. It is an allegation of extraordinary gravity. If indeed innocent school children were abducted as instruments in a political chess game, then such conduct would represent one of the darkest assaults on our democracy and collective humanity.
Equally, if the allegation cannot be substantiated, the public equally deserves clarity.
Governor Makinde is not an uninformed commentator. By virtue of his constitutional position as the Chief Security Officer of Oyo State, it is reasonable to presume that such a serious assertion was not made casually or without some intelligence or information available to him. That, in itself, makes the allegation far too weighty to be treated in the familiar Nigerian tradition of allowing uncomfortable questions to disappear beneath the next news cycle.
If there are indeed individuals who conceived, financed, sponsored or politically orchestrated the abduction of innocent school children for partisan advantage, Nigerians deserve to know who they are. Such conduct transcends politics; it is a direct assault on national security, constitutional democracy and the sanctity of human life.
The Federal Government, the National Security Adviser, the Department of State Services, the Nigeria Police Force and every other relevant security and intelligence institution owe Nigerians a solemn duty to investigate this allegation with utmost diligence, professionalism and independence. No individual, regardless of political status or influence, should be above scrutiny where the lives of innocent children are concerned.
This investigation must not become another exercise in official symbolism or bureaucratic theatre. It must be thorough, transparent and conclusive, with its findings published for Nigerians to scrutinize. The nation deserves facts, not whispers; accountability, not conjecture; justice, not convenient silence.
History will not merely remember that some children were rescued. It will also ask whether Nigeria possessed the courage to expose everyone behind their ordeal, irrespective of whose political ox was gored.
The rescue operation deserves applause. The truth behind the abduction deserves no less.

WHEN LAWYERS BECOME MERCHANTS OF DISTORTION: THE GROWING MENACE OF MISREPORTING COURT PROCEEDINGS AND THE URGENT NEED TO RESTORE PROFESSIONAL INTEGRITY
As the legal profession welcomes another promising crop of newly enrolled wigs, it is equally imperative to draw attention to an emerging culture that quietly threatens the ethical foundation of legal practice. Unless urgently addressed, this disturbing trend may gradually erode public confidence in both the Bar and the administration of justice.
One of the earliest lessons I learnt during pupillage was that every court appearance carried with it a corresponding duty to accurately brief the client on what transpired in court. It was a compulsory professional discipline. Every lawyer who participated in proceedings was expected to prepare a faithful and objective report for the client, without embellishment or distortion.
Sadly, that culture appears to be fading.
Increasingly, some lawyers, both senior and junior alike, now exaggerate, selectively report, or completely misrepresent court proceedings in order to impress clients, influence public opinion, or project an illusion of success.
I have personally witnessed a case in which a senior member of the Bar informed his clients that they had secured victory when, in truth, the Court merely declined jurisdiction and directed the parties back to the Court already seized of the matter. There was neither a determination of the merits nor a declaration in favour of either party.
Yet, acting on counsel’s misleading briefing, the clients organised elaborate celebrations, hired public address systems and publicly proclaimed victory over a judgment that never existed.
Such incidents are not isolated.
In another matter before the High Court in Enugu State, counsel confidently assured his clients that judgment would certainly be delivered in their favour and encouraged them to prepare for celebration. To their utter embarrassment, judgment was eventually entered against them before the very supporters assembled to celebrate, and who, following the unexpected outcome, quietly tucked away in nylon bags the celebratory garments they had painstakingly sewn in eager anticipation of a favourable judgment.
Perhaps it was this disturbing and increasingly entrenched culture of misinformation and deliberate distortion of judicial proceedings that impelled a learned Judge of the Federal High Court, Abuja, to adopt the unprecedented measure of live-streaming the delivery of his judgment in a high-profile matter. With painstaking precision, His Lordship meticulously read the judgment page by page and line by line until its conclusion, thereby ensuring that every material pronouncement was placed squarely in the public domain.
This extraordinary step was necessitated by the persistent and regrettable conduct of certain lawyers, some of whom had also assumed the role of consultants and content creators in the same matter, who repeatedly emerged from court after each sitting to publicly misrepresent, distort, and mischaracterise the proceedings and the pronouncements of the court.
The implications of this practice extend beyond misleading clients.
Every lawyer must remember that while he owes loyalty to his client, his overriding duty remains to the Court and to the administration of justice. No client is ultimately served by falsehood, and no professional reputation can endure where it is built upon deliberate distortion.
The Nigerian Bar Association must therefore renew its commitment to enforcing the highest ethical standards by strengthening professional orientation and ensuring that deliberate misrepresentation of court proceedings attracts appropriate disciplinary consequences.
The strength of the legal profession has never rested solely on the brilliance of its advocacy, but on the integrity of those privileged to practise it. Once lawyers become unreliable narrators of what transpires in court, public confidence in the justice system begins to weaken.
To our newly enrolled wigs, let this remain an enduring professional creed: your greatest asset is not your eloquence, but your credibility. Never sacrifice your integrity for temporary applause or client gratification. Court proceedings are not political propaganda to be rewritten outside the courtroom; they are solemn judicial acts deserving of truthful and responsible reportage.
If the honour of the legal profession is to endure, honesty in reporting what transpires before our courts must remain one of its most sacred and inviolable traditions.

PUBLIC STATEMENT
My attention was drawn to false reports circulating online claiming that I have filed for divorce from my husband, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
For the avoidance of doubt, I have not filed for divorce. The publication is entirely false and should be treated as misinformation.
It is deeply concerning that individuals continue to fabricate stories about my family and present them as facts without any attempt at verification. Deliberately spreading falsehoods does not advance any cause; it only misleads the public and undermines responsible journalism.
I urge members of the public to rely only on information that comes directly from me or through my authorised representatives.
Thank you to everyone who reached out to verify the story before sharing it. Your commitment to truth and responsible communication is appreciated.

Ukraine's Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko Resigns Amid Major Government Reshuffle
Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko has resigned after approximately one year in office, as part of a significant government shake-up announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Sunday.
In a statement, Zelenskyy described the move as necessary because Ukraine is "changing its political strategy." He emphasized the need to place experienced leaders in key positions, with a particular focus on foreign policy and international relations.
Zelenskyy said he had offered Svyrydenko a new, important role leading relations with one of Ukraine's key international partners. The president thanked her for her service during a challenging wartime period.
Svyrydenko, who assumed the premiership in July 2025 after serving as First Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister, confirmed her resignation. In a post on X, she expressed gratitude to Zelenskyy for the trust placed in her to lead the government "during the most difficult periods in Ukraine's modern history."
Under Ukrainian law, parliament (the Verkhovna Rada) must approve the prime minister's resignation. If accepted, this would trigger the resignation of the entire cabinet, paving the way for further appointments and reforms. Additional changes in law enforcement leadership are also anticipated.
Svyrydenko, an economist by background, played a prominent role in wartime economic management and efforts to strengthen ties with Western partners, including a notable mineral resources agreement with the United States. Her potential new diplomatic posting is seen by observers as leveraging her expertise in international economic relations.
The reshuffle comes as Ukraine continues to navigate the ongoing war with Russia, pressing for enhanced military support, EU integration, and strategic partnerships. Analysts suggest the changes aim to inject fresh momentum into these priorities.
Further details on her successor and the full scope of the cabinet overhaul are expected in the coming days as parliamentary processes unfold.

‼️ THE NIGERIAN CHRISTIAN GENOCIDE HAS ENTERED A NEW, SCARY PHASE
In this video, parents and families of the 36 Christian schoolchildren and one female teacher who were kidnapped in the predominately Christian Lassa community, in Borno state are seen wailing out loud, demanding the release of their children, because nothing is being done to return their loved ones to them, as is always the case in Nigeria.
INSTEAD, they’re allegedly being begged to receive compensations and shut up - like just stay quiet and not make the world aware of the spreading cancer of Christian genocide - because, @DCIGroup took blood money from Nigeria and lied to Americans that the genocide is over. And as I already informed you, they’re working so hard to smuggle Tinubu to America to meet with Trump. So, crying out about abducted and dying Christian schoolchildren and their teacher in captivity, will create a buzz and mess up the fake image of security and tranquility they’re spending millions of dollars to project to America.
Wonder why the news of increased terrorist activities have been missing a lot in the media lately? This is it. They’re stifling it across board - allegedly paying local
authorities to subdue information and threatening victims who won’t be paid, with violence if they won’t mourn in silence. But they will be shocked out of their minds on what’s coming in the next few days and weeks.
Your blood-stained dollars will never win over the cries of innocent blood 🩸

Brexit in comparison with Biafra.
The Independent Should democratic self-determination be treated as a universal principle, or should it depend on political circumstances?
This question has been sitting with me since yesterday:
At first glance, this seems like a political question.
It isn't. It is a consciousness question.
The former UK Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg's assessment of Brexit argues that Brexit was a "self-inflicted punch in the face" that made Britain: Poorer economically, weaker internationally, less safe and less sovereign, despite Brexit being promoted as a way to regain sovereignty.
Whether one agrees with his conclusion or not, what stands out to me is something deeper than the politics.
Britain was given the opportunity to make that decision.
The British people voted in a national referendum. Many now believe it was a mistake. Others still believe it was the right choice. But regardless of the outcome, the people were trusted with the right to determine their own political future.
This is where my teaching on The Consciousness of Consistency becomes clearer.
To be continued.......

A SIMPLE CHALLENGE FOR THE FLYING MONKEYS
There comes a time when silence is no longer golden. That time is now.
As a Transformative Life Coach and an advocate for Human Consciousness, I have spent years studying human behaviour, trauma, belief systems, manipulation, and the psychology of crowds. Because of that, I understand where much of the frustration, false narratives, propaganda, blackmail, and deliberate misinformation directed at me comes from.
Before you judge me, let me tell you something about you.
Your upbringing, your environment, your social conditioning, and the systems that shaped you play a significant role in how you receive, process, and transmit information. Many people never stop to question what they have been taught or why they react the way they do. Instead, they become vessels through which other people's narratives are repeated.
Some of you carry unresolved pain. Some carry shame. Some have been conditioned to attack what you do not understand. Others have become comfortable participating in character assassination because it offers acceptance within a group.
The insults, lies, and projections directed at me say far more about the state of your consciousness than they do about my character.
And I can assure you of one thing:
You have nothing on me.
For years, I have watched my name dragged through the mud. I have been insulted, misrepresented, blackmailed, and subjected to countless false accusations across social media. I have remained largely silent, not because I lacked the truth, but because I believed truth would eventually speak for itself.
However, there comes a point when silence is mistaken for weakness.
This is directed to those who have chosen to become willing instruments of propaganda, the "flying monkeys" who repeat accusations without evidence and attack people they have never taken the time to understand.
If you are truly confident in the allegations you continue to spread...
If you genuinely believe every accusation you have made against me...
If you are certain you are standing on truth rather than gossip...
Then I have a simple challenge.
Choose one representative, someone who lives here in the United Kingdom.
I do not have the time, the inclination, or the resources to chase miscreants scattered across several countries. If you are determined to paint a false picture of me, then find one person in the UK who is willing to stand behind every allegation that has been made.
Let that individual publicly present every accusation from the very beginning. Let them repeat, openly and without hiding, everything that has been circulated about me over the years.
If your representative is as confident in these allegations as all of you appear to be online, then they should also be prepared to defend those allegations under the scrutiny of the UK legal system.
By the time those proceedings have run their course, they will rue the day they decided to make me the subject of their falsehoods.
The courtroom is where evidence matters, where accountability is real, and where reckless defamation has consequences.
Truth does not fear examination. Only lies fear scrutiny.
If your confidence is genuine, then you have nothing to lose.
But if your campaign has been built on distortion, manipulation, and deliberate deception, then understand this: truth has a way of exposing what propaganda cannot hide forever.
This is about accountability, not revenge.
It is about restoring integrity to public discourse and demonstrating that consciousness demands evidence over emotion, and integrity over mob behaviour.
The invitation is open.
Choose your representative.
Stand by your allegations.
Bring your evidence.
And let me teach you how to dance this Suru-gede meant for the spirits.
Udo!

IPOB Brasil Branch Declares Loyalty to Chika Edoziem’s Directorate, Rejects Nnamdi Kanu’s Leadership Moves https://t.co/WSZZj3vfP6
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) chapter in Brazil has issued a firm official statement reaffirming its full allegiance to the Directorate of States (DOS) led by Chukwukadibia (Chika) Edoziem, while rejecting recent announcements made by imprisoned leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from Sokoto Prison.
In a declaration dated June 25, 2026, titled "Statements & Declarations on the Current Developments, IPOB Brasil stated it is “not being driven by emotion and does not recognize the “so-called new DOS” announced by Kanu.
The chapter described the announcement as allegedly influenced by enemies of Biafra aimed at destabilizing the restoration project.
“I swear to God Almighty all the security forces sent to attack my camp are my boys, they inform me anytime they are coming. I receive a summary of all security strategies” - Kachalla (the terrorist that killed Gen. Rabe).
Sadly, another prophesy of MAZI NNAMDI KANU comes true.
Reading this again revealed a lot.
The order alleged to have come from Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was that DOS must never go near IPOB funds; that every fund should be channeled to Nnennaya Anya, who has claimed that she is only answerable to Nnamdi Kanu.
Looking at the above order and the recent purported sacking of DOS, which was based on the reason that DOS is not taking care of members in prison , one is forced to ask: where do you expect people you have already prohibited from touching IPOB funds to get resources to take care of themselves and those in prison?
Again, the imposition of AVID, a non-IPOB member, to control IPOB affairs, implies that there is no capable IPOB member who can handle IPOB matters except an associate of Orji Uzor Kalu.
Reading this again shows that what is most important to them is the IPOB fund.
They claim to have dissolved the 1, 2, and 3 administrations yet still retain Nnennaya Anya, who was a member of those same administrations. This clearly shows that the real target is the IPOB fund.
Thank God for the position taken by DOS.
The worst decision I have heard since I was born is the imposition of a non-member of the organisation on the organisation itself.
It is a betrayal of the oath and a let-down to IPOB members both dead and alive. I pray that nature and karma will handle this matter.
Akam dikwa ocha, ihe onye metere ya jiri isi ya buru. Ihem na amaghị amakwulam.
If you truly care for MAZI NNAMDI KANU & wish him well, stop questioning his authority, stop hobnobbing with his enemies, stop defaming him, stop threatening & blackmailing those working very hard for his release & treat him the same way Mandela was treated when he was in prison.
Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe Speaks on State Police
Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, representing Abia South, has raised strong concerns over the proposed State Police Bill during debate in the Nigerian Senate, warning that governors could misuse and destroy the system just as they allegedly did with local government funds.
While contributing to the constitutional amendment bill for the establishment of state policing, the lawmaker insisted that funds for the state police commission must be constitutionally guaranteed and paid directly to an independent commission, not routed through state governments, to prevent diversion and ensure accountability.
He highlighted the risk of unchecked checkpoints and extortion in regions like the Southeast if officers are left to “fend for themselves” due to poor funding, urging the Senate to put robust safeguards in place before proceeding with the reform.
