@Ferndiggity@hitefield I actually gather that you love the USA deeply from your posts and like many of us, also worry about your country. So grateful for your posts and itโs made me return to your music. Loved your music for years and delighted you are such a rational voice. Thank you!
@golemgabi I know this too well, as I was in a wheelchair in high school and experienced just such a plan for fires. Today, as a teacher myself, I am not leaving until every kid is out- whatever the plan is. I hope my colleagues will do the same.
@genaLRthomas Middle school teacher. These kids are at their most creative, quirky, and unique. I see redeeming things in them everyday, all day- alongside and coexisting with the hardship and ugliness and drama. They are delightful if we look for it. Also only 3 years.
@MLevantovskaya If I had to pick one, it would undoubtedly be anything by Molly McCully Brown in Places Iโve Taken My Body. That whole book is gorgeous and haunting, and I could see my experiences reflected in her words.
@ShannonDingle Glad you donโt totally regret it! So much of pain management is what gets us from one moment to the next ๐ There have been many things that have served a purpose at one time or another.
@lindsaygellman@BW I would love to see you productively engage the Lyme community and Lyme-literate MDs in this discussion. Please listen to the patients and doctors in this thread. As a Lyme patient for 23 years, this reporting lacks nuance, compassion, and actively harms.
@lindsaygellman@BW The fact that you think the CDCโs culpability here is covering up alternative treatments gone wrong as opposed to the ruining of lives due to horrific policing of diagnosis, treatment, and research of tick-borne diseases is mind blowing. Harmful to patients.
@howie_hua So the way I did this was on a Padlet page, where we all added memes and gifs to express our feelings about remote learning. Probably would have gotten tons of silence etc if I just asked aloud, but they seemed to enjoy the Padlet.
@HaleyCarrots VERY unpopular opinion: Lorelei and Rory are awful and if I knew them in real life, I would avoid them bc they would be SO annoying. I watched every episode once and refuse to do it again.
Things I want the community to understand:
1. I love your child. I will teach them, no matter what.
2. I didnโt have a say in whether we went face to face, hybrid, or virtual.
3. I work countless hours to make instruction happen.
4. This is new to me, too.
@Tinu@vpnovak The real kicker for me is the line โHow do I walk out on my chronically ill wife after years of dedicating my life?โ Like she was a failed project (reminds me of his start up ๐)
@sundaytakesbart Oh my gosh YES!!!! Got mine at 28 due to health stuff. Not too late, if you can tolerate it physically. Itโs seriously one of the best things that has ever happened since getting sick.
So thereโs a bit of coronavirus I want to shed a little perspective on as someone with chronic illnesses - the long term effects.
Dying is scary, but we all know that. But I suspect some people without chronic conditions have no idea what itโs like to live with one.
