It's a similar form of homophobia as the yaoi tuff being popular among women, but it's less socially acceptable because it's more female dominated.
As well as women generally being less overtly homophobic.
It's "okay" for a woman to drink whine while playing with kids, but if I make my son grab me a six-pack from the fridge every 5 minutes then that's "abuse".
A very big double standard, and proof of how easy women have it in this society.
