Finance With Harish, 1.3 million followers on Instagram. One of the biggest finance creators in Tamil Nadu. Gone.

I did not know him personally. But I know this world. I have been creating trading content for years and I know exactly how much of yourself goes into it.

From what I understand, his Instagram account was recently taken down by Meta. For a creator, that’s a huge blow. That is losing years of work, your income, your community and your routine, all gone. Nobody around you fully understands what that does to your head.

Around the same time, a video was released calling out finance influencers giving advice without SEBI registration. Within two days, this happened.

Jason Samuel who made that video was doing what many people, including SEBI, have been asking for. He did not do anything wrong. I hope he is not carrying this guilt.

Your social media account is not your identity.
Your follower count is not your identity.
Your P&L is not your identity.
Your job title is not your identity.
Work is one part of life.

The moment work becomes your entire life, one bad day at work becomes one bad day for your whole existence.

I have seen traders go into deep depression after a blown account. I have seen creators lose sleep over one negative comment. If you are in that place right now, please talk to your loved ones.

And for everyone else, be a little careful with what you post about people. Call out wrong practices, yes nothing wrong in it. But you never know what the person on the other side is already going through.

This is a huge loss for Harish’s family and friends.
